My list is pretty much ready. If nobody picks any of my choices I’ll be putting it up just before midnight 12/31. My goal is to have twelve of the thirteen picks be unique, so I have a few extra on tap. The one pick that will not be unique is Fred Phelps.

If you don’t post until New Year’s Eve, I guarantee you won’t have twelve unique picks. We all watch the same feeds, so the likelihood you could scoop us on all twelve is slim to none.

This time I learned my lesson and I will post the final list in just about the last minute.

That’s the eternal question. You can only have 13, so if you’ve heard of a “sure thing”, thought of someone you didn’t think of last year or noticed one of last year’s celebs being disgustingly healthy, do you drop one and replace them or stick with them? I had Dom Deluise, Larry Hagman and Peter Falk on my list several times each, but none in the year they died. It burns! But some of my regulars that I’ve stuck with for a long time keep on keeping on.
Totally up to the individual. I’ve removed folks who died the next year and kept those who have survived(Zsa Zsa is still alive). I mix it up a bit just for variety, though.
I don’t have to do any work on coming up with a new list for next year if I don’t want to; I can just resubmit my complete list from this year!
