Malkavia was the first, on the 16th. I’m guessing there must have been a news story that day, because several other people hopped on the bandwagon immediately.

You seem to imply that one person “found” her and everyone else just jumped on the bandwagon.
She’s been in poor health for about two years, and there have been dozens of news stories about her since her health first started to fail. The news magazines were doing retrospectives and “This Is Your Life”-style stories on her beginning in mid 2010. Maybe some people just jumped on the band wagon, but I’d wager that most “found” her independently.
Besides … I had her on my list early on too; but I didn’t submit it until 12/31.
Lots of folks owned up to it.
Actually I was trying to remember if I did so or found her myself.
