The Celebrity Death Pool 2012

Since no one else has, let me be the first to give you a standing ovation for that line.

sings to the tune of “Night Fever”
I finally scored some points
On this year’s Death Pool!

I got 38 points and actually dropped a spot in the standings. Sheesh.
And I was almost sure I had the Lockerbie dude too. I know he was on a late draft and can’t recall my reasoning for not putting him on the final list. Guess I thought Raven Alexis was a better bet. Bitch!

Tangent, since no one else said it, bravo on that line.

Nick Stahl not dead, checked into rehab.

Former West Virginia Head Football Coach, Bill Stewart, has died of a heart attack. He was 59.

Who are the two we both have?

Baker, In the event of a tie, I would say whoever posted their picks first ought to win. Do not who it was.

BTW, this is from someone who posts as close as i can to the deadline. Usually on December 30, since I go out of town for New Years Eve.

Aren’t there tiebreaker rules?

Why does there have to be a tiebreaker? Why not just two winners?

Also, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

If there’s a tie, the loser has to kill one of the winner’s still living picks.

ETA: because when there’s a tie, there are losers and winners, apparently

Robert Dennerly and Raven Alexis.

And the ones you two have that differ from each others are:

CAMJAY77 has :
Superstar Billy Graham
Wayne Fleming
Hugo Chavez
Saif al-Islam Gaddafi

and Registered at Last has:

Darrel Akerfelds
Tamara Grigsby
Penny Marshall
Joe Lewis

Not fair. Many people post late to keep their picks unique.

Not fair making up rules midway through a game.

If it’s a tie, it’s a tie. Points is points.

Yes, it is early days yet, so who knows what will happen.

And if it’s a tie it’s a tie. Things like that happen, and I don’t think those of us who have run the game ever considered a tie was possible!

But if I was any of the eight people in post #1671 I might be a little concerned!:stuck_out_tongue:

I would support a rule that in the case of a tie, whoever had more total overall picks kick the bucket, is the winner. If both players had the same number of picks score, then it would be a true tie. This may be better suited to the Death Pool rules discussion thread, though. (I think we have one of those around here somewhere…)

I guess my question should have been:

Didn’t we have tie-breaker rules in previous years?
At this point, if no tie-breaker has been established for 2012, I’d declare both #1’s the co-winners.

If it were me, I’d null and void the entire contest and just proclaim myself the winner. Then I’d go find Raven Alexis and kick her in the teeth.

No. I checked the previous Death Pool threads; there was never a tie-breaker rule.

Thanks

I’m glad to hear that he’s alive.*

*He’s not on my list.

(AP) – Couch potatoes everywhere can pause and thank Eugene Polley for hours of feet-up channel surfing. His invention, the first wireless TV remote, began as a luxury, but with the introduction of hundreds of channels and viewing technologies it has become a necessity. Polley died of natural causes at a suburban Chicago hospital over the weekend. The former Zenith engineer was 96.

Did we really not have this one yet?

Oh well, here’s to hoping the news of his death will be couched with the usual treatment;

I guess he got Zapped…

Someone hit his power button for the last time…
