The Celebrity Death Pool 2013

Chuck Fairbanks, former New England Patriots head coach.

Dang! Maybe we should warn the other people on her list?

:frowning:

Sorry.

I understand why **Rachim Qoch ** rarely posted in these threads and finally stopped playing. :frowning:

Hey wait a second, has anyone ever seen you and Rachim Qoch in the same room together?
It’s just a joke.

 Oh no, I’VE never seen us together in the same room, could it be ???

Thanks!

I imagined that Rachm Qoch just got bored with winning every year (three in a row, was it?). We were AMATEURS compared to him.

RAL, you’re amazing, you’re awesome… but you’re officially a little scary now. I mean, you did the research, you did your homework, but nine out of thirteen in only three months? I don’t think RQ ever did that well. You gotta admit that’s a little scary.

Well, since I like research, I took a look. It looks like the most **RQ **ever got was 8 corpses. amarone, on the otherhand, got an impressive 401 points from 9 corpses in 2009. But yeah, I guess I kind of scare myself.

Speaking as someone who half-asses it year after year, it’s a pleasure to see the game played well.

The pc term is “a player with a themed list.”

Oh.

I was just thinking about Rachm Qoch and wondering where he got off to.

Registered at Last, revel in the glory! You can bet your sweet petunias that if I ever manage to score 9 picks by April, I will be doing a Church Lady-style Superior Dance all over this thread.

Heck, I was trying for the most deaders by picking celebrities who are over ninety-five. Only one has obliged me so far. So much for reasoning like that!

Way to go RAL oh Angel of Death!

I remain the apparent Angel of Life. My picks are all feeling much better now.

Roger Ebert is fighting cancer again.

Author Iain M. Banks has been diagnosed with late stage gall bladder cancer, and is unlikely to last out the year.
This is very sad, I’m a huge fan of his.

Gall bladder cancer? That’s a new one on me. Hell you don’t even need your friggin’ gall bladder; I got rid of mine. Weird; it sounds akin to something like appendix cancer.

Then again, I would imagine there’s some metastasizing I’m not accounting for.

Looking at further news reports, it appears that gall bladder cancer itself is very treatable if caught early enough, before it spreads to other organs. Sadly, in this case, the cancer has already spread to his liver and other places, and so his prognosis isn’t good.

Attorney William Ginsburg, who represented Monica Lewinski, dead at 70

I’ll go one better.

Send me $20 and I’ll add your name to my list next year, thereby guaranteeing your immortality. I haven’t gotten anyone since Michael Jackson moonwalked outta here.

:(:frowning:

Don’t tell me I am the first to announce two thumbs down for Roger Ebert
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/05/movies/roger-ebert-film-critic-dies.html?_r=0

Well that’s a real bummer. I really had a great deal of admiration for him and his writing. Doubly tragic if you consider he and Siskel were two of the best American film critics of the last quarter of the 20th century and they are now both gone.

And of course, the fact he wasn’t on my list really sucks too.
