Did you have some info on Clancy’s health to cause you to put him on your list? And do you know what caused his death? So far the news reports don’t seem to have it.
There are cases of people on my lists that are there because I would like to read their obituaries, or because I don’t want to read their obits. Clancy was a favorite author of mine for quite a while, so he in the ‘don’t want to read’ camp. No other reason, except maybe for the desire of a unique pick.
There were some vague rumors of heart issues and he was a smoker, but I didn’t find that out until a couple of years ago.
Nobody picked Clancy.
Bob Welch, solo artist (“Sentimental Lady”) and pre-Rumours era Fleetwood Mac guitarist, an apparent suicide at age 66.
That article is dated June 2012.
In 2012.
ETA Ninja’d, damnit.
Can I pick him retroactively?
Worth a shot.
Bill Eppridge, LIFE photographer who took the picture of RFK’s assassination, has died.
It’s times like these when the :smack: smiley justifies its existence. Sheesh.
General Vo Nguyen Giap, architect of the Tet Offensive (and many other battles), dead at 102.
So would anyone who had him be required to give back two points?
I believe one receives no points, but acquires prestige among one’s fellow players.
Is that correct, Oh Death Mistress?
No points, but centenarians count towards the Quantity, Not Quality Award.
Sir, do not presume to answer for the Death Mistress! :dubious:
I was channelling her.
Mustn’t would be dead to be channeled?
You didn’t know?
Yes, no points, but counts towards the Quantity award. I have one like that myself, Douglas Slocombe, who turned 100 in February. Another will turn 100 before the end of the year.
I am quite pleased that you are alive and well, Oh Death Mistress, despite the comments of Certain Other People.
