#1 is Bush Jr, not Bush Sr. Please don’t confuse them!
#2 is also knows as the Fourth of July
#4 1 + 1 could equal 3 for very large values of 1, but I’m trying to pick the most popular answer here.

Wow, a couple of those were hard! I hope that I get lots of points on #10. You never know how many places people have been to.

10: He never takes me anywhere! :frowning:

You took my answer, but Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is arguably acceptable, as the official name of his country was Estados Unidos do Brasil (United States of Brazil) from 1889 to 1967. Although the states are still united, however, the official name now translates to the Federative Republic of Brazil.

Algeria, Argentina, the Bahamas, Belarus, Belgium, Burundi, Cape Verde, Colombia, Liberia, Malawi, the Maldives, Peru, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Slovakia, and Venezuela each observe Independence Day or an analogous celebration in July. I’d think fireworks are involved in at least some of these festivals of freedom.

I thought of Albanian’s use of “i” in such words as Shqiperia (the native people’s name for their country) and qintar (the national monetary unit).

I had a similar answer in mind, and was even going to try to find a map of Embassy Row in the District of Columbia. I also considered researching whether any of Portugal’s former colonies (Angola, Macau, etc.) were ever granted “part of the nation” status similar to France’s overseas departments, but ultimately deemed the effort unworthy of undertaking.

I hope y’all know this is a joke thread and I’m not scoring it!

:flings confetti: Dibs! I win! I called it! I win!
