“Maaaaa” with an “ae” type of “a” (as in “cat”) rather than an “ah” sound (like in “ma.”)

Never heard the “Naaaa” version. Some form of “Baaaaa” (once again, with the “ae” sound) is acceptable, though.

In Thailand, goats say “Meh!” (assuming that rhymes with English “day”) which is also the Thai word for mother.

My kids wanted pet goats, but Mrs. Septimus vetoed: she doesn’t want to hear what sound like human babies calling their mother.
