The cronicaly diseased, scocially stigmatized clique

This is all tatertots fault ! See [urlhttp://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=38245

So, who else around here has a chronic, socially stigamtizing diseases , that you are willing to admit to that is. Hey know you aren’t alone does help.

I have herpes simplex…does that count?

I’m not only a member of the chronic, socially stigmatizing clique, I’m also a founder!

I think our first order of business is to make all the healthy people feel guilty so that they will send us lots of chocolates. And, my doctor says that I can only have chocolate of Godiva-quality or better, because my liver will reject lesser brands.

Then for the safety of your liver I send you virtual chocolate, ummm, yummy.

I as of yet do not have any disease, but breat cancer has been found in my family. I am only 21 and so feel somewhat safe, but…

Oh, Nika, I know how scary that can be. My Grandmother died of breast cancer…what really scares me is that my Aunt just finished treatment for breast cancer (woo hoo! she’s doing pretty good, except my Uncle now has Thyroid cancer) and I worry so much about her daughter, who now has BC on both sides of the family.

Grimhacker, I’m thinking that only genital herpes will do for this particular clique. But, we’ll vote on it, okay?

okay, thanks for the heads up…keep me posted.

As co-founder of this clique I will also accept chocolate. I like chocolate truffles btw.

::sad pitiful cough:: we really need chocolate here, our doctors tell us it ** might ** be the magic bullet for us heppers.

Grimhacker, will you crawl out of my ass now ? I think this guy is obcessed with me.

Do you blame him?

But piss off, G.

He’s bugging you? Ok, then he’s definately out.

::::cough, cough::: Oooh, my liver hurts, must have must chocolate. Really, it has magical liver-healing properties. And, I’m, um, feeling to weak to clean my house…I don’t suppose anyone could help out with that.

Hepatitis: If you’ve got it, flaunt it for fun and profit.

What I do? looks around confused

Well, I guess not. As I told the guys at the last HouDope, I am one hell of a woman, if you don’t believe it just ask me.

And Nika be sure you stress to your docs that even tho you are you you have a history of this in you family. Scary stuff !

I will. Thank you for your caring. I actually pay a lot of attention to my family history to try and prevent what I am at risk for. I can’t imagine going through what you are though. Do you mind me asking what you do to get yourself throught to the next part?

I think about how I want to live long enough to be a problem for my son.

Not really , I don’t know really, I have too many people who would kick my butt if I don’t keep trying.

[small voice]Is my diabetes socially stigmatizing enough?[/small voice]

Does an occasional gout bout count?

Ladies and gentlemen, these issues will have to be decided upon by Ms. T.Tot , she is in charge of those decisions.

However donations of chocolate may help your cause,

Tatertot, as mentioned in that thread I’m asymptomatic but unwanted by the Red Cross. Does that count?

Hershey’s is good enough for the likes of me.

I have recurrent clinical depression.
Not good enough?
I’M A POSTAL WORKER.
(That makes it almost too easy!)

Does lupus and clinical depression count? I can’t give blood either…

Did I hear someone say genital herpes? I’ve found that chocolate helps with it too.
