There’s currently a Hewlett-Packard commerical running that features a cool remix of The Cure’s “Pictures of You”. Does anyone know who made this remix?
Isn’t it the original version? The copy I have sounds like that, at least as far as I remember the commercial. It’s a great song. Maybe I’m misremembering the commercial, how is it different?
i think it is the cures version…and it gets me in the mood to hear some cure everytime
It sounds like the usual one to me.
Yeah, it’s not changed considerably from the album version, just edited down to show the full dynamics of the song in a short commercial.
It aint the version I got. At least I don’t think it is.
I was thinking this would be a complaint thread… such a sad song seems so out of place. What’s the message? Buy our camera, then you can look back on better times and be sad!
Oh, like they put that much thought into it. Some ad weenie said, “Pictures! We need a song about pictures!”
Who cares if it fits the commercial! I get to hear The Cure!
Anyway, I’m a big fan of the band and I’ve never heard this song…performed…this way. It seems very slowed down and musically expanded. It may not be a remix, but its certainly a different mix.
Isn’t it the remix from the album Mixed Up? It’s been years since I listened to my Cure cds, but that one version does sound a bit different from the cut on Disinegration.
yep, it’s form the mixed up CD.
