I apologize in advance for putting a comma after the one in my entry and not a period. I know better! ::hangs head::

I forgive you.

What? Wait! You’re accepting this? His name was Napoleon Bonaparte (later “Napoleon I”). Everyone knows that. That doesn’t count as a one-word name.

And the winner is ~drumroll~ twickster!!! Way to go, girl! ::flings confetti:: twickster got 9/10 top answers. Excellent! Perfect score wass 356.00.

Thanks all, and thanks 42fish! Easy one to score, indeed. Only took about 30 minutes!

New one tomorrow.

But everyone knows that “right” doesn’t count in the Feud, only matches.

Doesn’t matter if it was right per se. Any matches give points, so even if e.g. the question is “name a dog” and two answer “Garfield” they still get points.

And holy friggin moly… dead last again. I’ve lost my touch completely :frowning:

Worm, you don’t try to be last, do you?:stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, Madonna’s real name is Madonna Louise Cicconne, too. But the questions asked for a celebrity and a historical figure known by one name. You can’t deny that Napoleon Bonaparte is commonly referred to and is known by the singular “Napoleon.” And your own answer, Jesus, is more properly Jesus Christ or Jesus of Nazareth.

blushes modestly

:frowning:

I’m surprised Lolita did so well, I really am. Did someone mention it in Cafe Society recently, or something?

And I’d have gone 10 for 10 on #1s if I hung out in the Pit more – freakin’ Giraffe grumble grumble grumble

Worm lives in the land of ice. It takes a long time for things to get there. He runs his internet connection with a big crank that feeds off his bicycle. He has to peddle like mad in order to answer the feuds. Give him a break.

Last again???

One of these days I shall get my priorities right and realize that the feud comes ahead of work and not the other way around.

I’m sorry I missed this one cause it looked like a ton o’ fun!

ETA: Dang! I’m a feud answer even!

I do believe that this might be the first feud where I’ve gotten above the median. I’m rather puzzled about Mr. Bonaparte, though… Even granting that it’s “legal”, I’d have thought that most Dopers would be too nitpicky to have chosen him in the first place.

I’m Number 2! I’m Number 2! :D:D:D:D

Re matches: I remember watching The Newlywed Game one time, and the question was, “From which direction does the sun rise in your neighborhood?” (I think the question writers decided to have a little fun.) Sure enough, the couples were all, “Hmm, let’s see, the bedroom window faces west, so . . .”

One couple both said “south.” They matched each other’s answer (in other words, they were equally stupid), so they got the points or whatever.

Or Jesus H. Christ?

I could have said “Barack” for Barack Obama. As crazy as that answer would have been, since he’s not really known by one name, it would have counted if most people said it.

Update (I left out astorian - so I replaced my score with hers/his.) 4th place! Not too shabby!
