ETA: Doh! I thought “book set at a school” was referring to a set of books often used in schools. Must note indefinite articles.

Gah! I thought Hogwarts, but it’s not an elementary school … but it’s the Feud, so maybe enough other people will say that … oh well, on the Dope, when in doubt, go with the Simpsons.
At our school (in the Dark Ages) the most popular classroom game was called “Around the World” and it was a trivia-type Q&A game, but then I realized I had never heard of it in any other context other than my own school. Now I’m not even sure I’m remembering the name correctly.
I went back in forth between Springfield and South Park before deciding. I happen to like South Park better than The Simpsons (yeah, yeah, I know, heresy, burn me at the stake) so it was tough for me. I went with what I thought would be most popular.
I think I’ve played that. I do remember a game when one person would stand behind another person’s chair (in French class) and the teacher would give us a word in English/French and we’d translate it, and whoever did it first won, and the loser would sit in that chair, and so on. I think we might have played it in other classes, too.
Hangman’s educational value is a bit dubious, but it does ostensibly get you to pay attention to spelling a bit more. I wanted to say Trapper Keeper for #1, but that may be years out of fashion…
As for stereotypical bully names, the only school story that comes to mind is Harry Potter, so it’s either Draco, or Crabbe/Goyle, which is, just, no. Maybe Butch or Bertha? Meh.
Aiya, how could I forget the miniskirts, one of the few things that had me looking forward to going to school during high school?!
:hangs head in shame:
I guess schools from where I grew up were more lax with that sort of thing; only gang colors were ever even an issue.
Why were these banned?
Because they were patently absurd.
Yes, that’s it exactly! It’s good to know I’m not delusional. I remember playing it most often in history (with historical facts and dates) but also in other classes, and from elementary right through high school.

Hope I interpreted the question correctly by naming a book which is set at at a school, as opposed to “a set iof books found at a school”, which would be encyclopedias
Also called “monkey bars”, although some people claim the two terms are not synonymous
Not that I liked it, but most kids in my class wished we had more sessions of it per week
I’d say they’re not synonymous. The monkey bars was just a single “lane” of bars that kids hung from and went across. A jungle gym would be a giant cage of bars, like so…

In my world - the two terms are interchangeable.
Sternvogel is #42. We’re finally gonna get a full Feud!

Okay, I have no idea. I’m blaming Fairly OddParents for this one.
I still can’t believe I won the last one. I’m sure this one will make up for it.
