Heavy use of wikipedia here. I think I got 1, 3, 4, 5, and 9 without cheating.
ETA: Bah, no one else picked the Moulin Rouge. Am I the only one whose sole knowledge of Vegas comes from reading LAST CALL?
No problem! Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t being snubbed.
Crap, I should have gone with Bugsy Siegal. I thought HST would surely be a more popular answer.

Interesting how so many people are answering “Bellagio” for Question #7, considering that establishment didn’t open until 1998, while the original Ocean’s Eleven was filmed in 1960.
(Actual possible correct answers: Sands, Desert Inn, Flamingo, Riviera, Sahara. Of course, I realize that if everyone answered “Holiday Inn” or “Waldorf-Astoria”, points would be duly awarded.)

Apparently I was the not only person who forgot that the recent Oceans 11 was a remake. I have never seen the first one.
Well crap! I missed craps, and it’s second place for me!
Finally, the years of debauchery and drunken excess have paid off!
Just as points of information, I’d like to note that:
- Flamingo and Bally’s still exist.
- Excalibur and Aladdin are more than 10 years old.
- Prostitution is illegal in Clark County. You have to drive to Pahrump to find a cathouse.
Now THAT’S more like it! Woot!
Joe
Nope, realistic.
7th. My lucky number. It used to be 35. I am getting dizzy from the altitude. I can not even spot the ice Worm from here. Surrounded by all new names. These people are creepy, They are trying to win. Too many A type personalities up here. Have to return home soon.
They might have meant Isaac Newton the Alchemic Wonder. He used to do a lounge act with an apple and some lenses that would blow you away. Then one night they tried to book him as the opening act for The Amazing Leibniz and he quit show biz.
