The Dark Knight series finally dimmed the shine off Batman for me

I bet you were pretty cute, too.

From Batman Begins:

Fox: “Nomex survival suit for advanced infantry. Kevlar biweave, reinforced joints.”

Wayne: “Tear resistant?”

F: “This sucker will stop a knife.”

W: “Bulletproof?”

F: “Anything but a straight shot.”

Followed by the remarkably stupid

W: “Why didn’t they put it into production?”

F: “Bean counters didn’t think a soldier’s life was worth $300 grand.”

Doesn’t he redesign the suit at the beginning of the second film, or am I misremembering?

From The Dark Knight, first scene in the urban Batcave, while Bruce is suturing himself Rambo-style:

“My armor. Too much weight. I need to be faster.”

Alfred: “I’m sure Mr. Fox can oblige. Did you get mauled by a tiger?”
