"The Day After Tomorrow"

This map actually shows that parts of Southern California are susceptible to occasional tornadoes. The two counties in red (Los Angeles and Orange Counties) have the greatest occurance of tornadoes west of the Rockies except for parts of central Arizona. Orange county (with it’s smaller area) even rivals some of the counties back east in frequency…and this is for F2 tornadoes and higher, although I know we don’t have F4s and F5s like the ones back east. The F1s are discarded from the count. I didn’t know we had THAT many tornadoes!
