Except for every major title in turn-based strategy, real-time strategy, flight/combat simulation, etc, etc, etc, etc.

But what are the sales numbers for those? Take a look at the sales numbers - I knew PC games sold in crappy numbers compared to consoles, but I didn’t realise just how bad it was getting. Apart from The Sims, it looks like they just don’t sell very well.

Except for every major title in turn-based strategy, real-time strategy, flight/combat simulation, etc, etc, etc, etc. There are a substantial number of genres that consoles really suck at, mostly due to interface issues that aren’t going away any time very soon. Consoles might have adventure, racing sewn up and moving that way on shooters, but they’re hardly the be-all end-all of gaming you’re making them out to be.

I believe there’s been a few specialist PC gaming controllers (i.e. so you don’t have
to use keys on your keyboard to play say Quake)-dunno why such devices
are so rare for the consoles (as are mice or the equivalent). Ergonomics aren’t the
consoles strong point: I severely dislike the typical controllers you have to deal with
as the amount of precise control is pretty laughable (and often leads to hand cramps
sooner or later).
