The December 2013 Short Fiction Contest - Logistics Thread.

I’ve got a problem, I’ve forgotten just what time I sent my request for the words and picture, and almost immediately got the reply. I know I’ve got less than a day left to write, but I’m not sure of the deadline.

How do I find the time stamp on the auto reply? I’ve looked all over the icons and other symbols and can’t find it!

and yes, I am an idiiot, why do you ask?

If you got it in an email, doesn’t your email tell you the time and date it came in? That would be your starting point.
Or perhaps I am not understanding the question/problem…

I’m in!

Man, what an …interesting… picture.

Classes are over and I have time to write. Maybe that Children’s Literature course will come in handy.

Your time stamp says 4:55 PM, Dec. 13th. That means that, as I write this, you have another 20 hours and 40 minutes to write. Please note that this is in my time zone, Eastern Standard Time.

Just sent mine. Looking forward to see the other entries.

The Anthology Thread is up and running at this link, and I will be adding stories as I get a chance over the next couple of days.

I’m sorry I didn’t make it. A really bad cold and the onrushing holidays have really taken up my creative time.

Well, I thought I’d have the time–but just about the time that I sent the e-mail and got the reply, my calendar suddenly filled up with meetings, hearings, and appointments. Guess everybody wants to get things done before the holidays hit.

But I’ll look forward to reading and voting for the entrants. Good luck, all!

Seeing as I sent my email towards the end of the period, do I still have the normal sixty hours, or is there a shorter deadline?

As I read the rules, the contest is now closed… if you haven’t sent your story in already, do so ASAP!

I’m very sorry, jackdavinci - I always close these on the date/time that I mention in the OP. You hadn’t submitted a story by this morning, so I’m afraid I presumed you had run out of time.

If you would like, though - submit it anyway, and I’ll post it in the Anthology Thread. I don’t think it’s possible to get it into the poll once it’s rolling…

(I was even late starting the poll this time - there’s a lot going on chez nous this time around, and I decided I needed the sleep more than I needed to stay up to start the poll.)

And speaking of such things, the pollis established!

Oh well! Next time
