I’ve changed my name twice. Before I was Attrayant, I was called Opus.
Hopefully the statute of limitations has run out on punitive actions for abusing the name change policy.
Not in Virginia, so I would avoid heading south for the next year or two.

I was **Dewaholic ** for about a year or two. I changed it because I managed to get off the junk successfully. Although to this day, one can will send me on a weeklong bender. 
I actually changed my name from Cunt Bollocks FuckFace but I dont think that anyones caught on .
I haven’t changed my name, but I can see the appeal.
Let’s face it - many people here have chosen usernames based on their hobbies or tastes at the time that they signed up. And over a period of years, tastes change. Dare I say it, people may even grow up.
With the rest of one’s life one has to deal with names that don’t change as you do - unless you’re one of those stubborn people who can make a nickname change stick. (David for Dave, or something of the like.) My own username isn’t as descriptive as it used to be. I still like anime, but for a number of reasons I’m really out of the loop these days.
Funny you should mention that–I actually list my address as 8728 Facefuck Drive when I sign up for things with companies I want to keep my real address safe from. Nobody has called me on it.

Just to be a pain in the ass, there was an apostrophe in my former name.
That should be 69 Fuckface Drive.
