The do-over MMP

Nuts, it’s the council and it’s their council tax payments dept, there isn’t enough stoopit in the world for all the things they get up to. If you’re going to ring them and do the verbal slapping thing, don’t forget to tell them you’re recording the conversation for training purposes. What? The pointy stick wielding Sri Lankan spiders have to learn somehow, don’t they? I can’t teach them everything before they get sent out, they’re too much in demand these days.

I has a blurf, and I has a job interview next week for a job I kind of want. But I have no idea of any good questions to ask at the end of it…apart from “when can I start?”…

In other news, my mum’s been in the horsepistol this week with a nasty dose of pneumonia. She’s been allowed home with lots of anti-biotics so I am off to visit tomorrow and do the domestic chores that will have stacked up and that she can’t do for herself while she’s recovering. She tells me it’s what daughters are for.

I am laundering.

Boofae, glad mom is dehorsepistolized(is too a word!)

swampy’s gonna get a prezzie from Moooooooooom! <evil smilie>

Aw, rosie, you ruined the surprize!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

You cannot ship Higgs. I’m pretty sure that’s illegal.

Lazy day here at da cave. Chili and cornbread for N.O.L. Believe me you do not want to be here right now.

Came out of yoga to find a blizzard. Of course the streets are not plowed so I abandoned the grocery story idea. Now I have to rummage through the cupboards and NOTHING looks appetizing. I hate snow. I hate winter.

Me too WetOne! Even though there’s no snow, it’s cold here so I hate Winter. Come on Summer!

Yeah, yeah, so we haven’t quite worked out all the details of the Sri Lankan pointy stick spider business. Rome wasn’t built in a day, y’know.

I don’t have enough work again this week. ‘Tis getting a little silly, so can I join the spider selling corps? I’ve experience workin’ with animals, I’m sure I can help with the training!

So.

Waaaay back at the beginning of my student teaching I talked about doing a lesson on my favorite road. I posted to the group on fb asking if anyone had any suggestions on teaching materials. A group member and I corresponded because one of the member states had written a lesson about the road. By the time we got around to telling them to send it to me, my lesson was already over but I said that I would like to have the material because I could probably use it in the future.

So, here we are 5-6 months later and it shows up at my mailbox with a bill for $60. :dubious: No one ever mentioned that there was going to be a charge. I figured that it was just a typical, free educational brochure or some such. RT says that I should just send it back. I suppose that I’ll keep it, but it’s going to be a long time until I send payment.

Sketties were yum. We were both stahvink, so we ate at 4. Tummies are now happy.

Bedtime will come early for both of us - **FCD **hardly slept on the train and I had barely 4 hours, so soon after sunset, I expect we’ll crash and burn.

Dindin shall consist of whatever one forages when one is hongry. I’m still not hongry and neither is OYKW. It’s that kind of day.

Nuts, you will need to apply with BooFae. She is the head pointy stick wieldin’ Sri Lankan spider trainer.

I took my kitchen faucets apart and cleaned them out. The cold side has stopped dripping, but the hot side is still a steady drizzle. I guess I need to get a new stem assembly.

I feel very grown-up taking apart a faucet by myself and putting it back together so it works right to boot.

Spaz I am impressed!

Happy Caturday Night,

I am home and happy.

Cheers all

Jim

Can you ignore typos long enough to tell us how to get them into the box?

I too am impressed.
I had to get My Friend The Plumber, with arms the size of my thighs, to get a broken stem out.

Canes win! dogbutler buzzed! 3 day weekend!

Howdy all. Haven’t read the whole thread but must jump in before I forget. Do over : I would have joined the Navy and never started smoking or gotten married the first time. Breakfast: has to be good old grits and eggs mixed together with lots of bacon and cheese toast. Mooommm I’m so glad FIL did good through his surgery and Swampy Macon is my ye ole hometown.

I went on Friday and had my little surgery a polypectomy. Probably not a word but it was the removal of a polyp/tumor from my uterus. Doc seems real sure it is nothing to worry about but will know for sure in a couple of days when pathology comes back. I was so skeered, worked myself up to thinking I would die from the anesthesia. Even had my regular doc prescribe me some Valium for the week leading up. But, I did ok. I did not meet the anesthesiologist until right before the procedure. Well, he was very young and his face was scratched up and he had a bloody nose and a large burn on his hand. He had not shaved in a day or so and I think he’d just been in a fight and lost.

But he didn’t kill me so there is that. My next medical adventure will be my first ever colonoscopy and it’s past due time for a tit squishing. Fun Fun.

During the entire process through the maze that is pre op blood, XRay, EKG and paying the up front bill, and the hour long Q&A history interview no one ever asked for an ID. Someone else could have been using my insurance. I found it odd.

It is a cold 56 degrees here. I am over winter. Have a good Sunday all.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and, well, caffienated. ‘Tis 44 Amurrkin out and sunny with a predicted high of 60 and sunny for the day. A couple hours ago it rained. Woke me up even it was rainin’ so hard. It lasted fifteen minutes and now, well, sunny skies!

Butters glad you’re surgery went well. Also, cheese roast might be a good thing. It’s cheese. It’s roast. What could go wrong!

Ok, I need to motivate. I have ush duty this mornin’ so I need to purtify for deheathenization. Problem is, this means put on go out into the world clothin’ and I’d rather sit here in a tshirt and sweatpants. Why must life be so hard!

Ah well, guess I’ll go make myself presentable to be in the presence of Whiskypalians.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

I’ll be happy to do that for you, and at a considerable discount. Fun indeed… :D;)

Today’s project is making lazagnee for lunch this week. Tomorrow I see the surgeon for a get acquainted.
