Hopefully an easy week MMP

I had a loooong irk week last week, irked eleven hours Saturday, and now it’s back to irk. I don’t want to go, I want another day off!

First!

Juvenilities must be dealt with before all else.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and well, caffienated. ‘Tis a pleasant 63 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 81 for the day. Nice! I’m irkin’ from da cave today. OYKW stayed last night and is up, dressed and gone. I got up to make brekkie cause I’m all nice like that. Go Me!

I shall go purtify shortly just cause. Not that anybody will see me. One should just purtify everyday I believe.

Happy Moanday Y’all!

ETA: DeathMistress, eleven hours on Sattidy? ICK! Here’s to an easier week this week.

Happy Moonday!
It’s a dark 58 degrees outside with a project high of 65.
I’m up too early, damn bladder.

I have to drag Sah-son out to go grocery shopping with me today and I have to find the doggie wash place I saw advertised on TV. One of those coin operated self serve places.
Mostly this week will be irk irk irk because I slacked off a bit the last two weeks. However sitting on my ass answering the phone isn’t all that hard so I can’t complain too much.
Happy Columbus Day!

Well, this week I’m working four days, so pbththththth.

Work at my main client today and tomorrow, trip home on Hump Day, then Th-T I am teaching a course which is very prestigious but very little work: it’s an Official Course, so the material and the exercises have been prepared by the Official People, I have to go and explain it. Will have three more Official Courses for the same group in the next few weeks.

Middlebro has decided he wants to start playing World of Warcraft, which may be a sure sign the franchise is about to go bust. He knows several dozen players but for some reason he was always surprised to meet yet another one. The friend who got him his current job is Yet Another One, so Bro has decided to start playing. I’m trying to decide whether I should encourage him or find some nice hills to run for. Knowing Bro, he’ll like it, and liking it, he’ll spend hours telling me how to play… a game I’ve been playing for years, thank you much, would you like a boomstick stuck up your arse? I’ve got a collection!

Eleven hours, Baker? That should deserve a seriously alcoholic reward although you might need the same level of alcohol to get over the thought of Doggio in his bedazzling chuddies.

It’s a relatively quiet week here for me, I am allegedly doing a handover to my successor but she’s gone home ill this morning so I’m pottering around tidying up some other stuff for her. With any luck I’ll be out of here on Thursday and tripping blithely over to the School of Chemistry on Friday instead. Fingers crossed!

I am also alone and unsupervised this coming weekend. Naturally the first thing I did was text a friend and suggest an afternoon of shopping and cocktails. What? Why are you looking at me like that?

BLURF! <hack, coff, coff, splutter, weeze>. I really arta give up smokin’! Then agin, i reckon it could always be worse. :smack: (At least my tooth ain’t hurtin’ anymore.)
Here’s hopin’ y’all all have a tolerable, decent day!

We’re looking at you like that because of the ridiculous thing you suggested.

We had informal meeting yesterday to gauge interest in & do some informal practicing for having a new (adult) team for the spring/summer softball league. The first order of business was to describe what type of league it was, ie. fast pitch or slow pitch, high arc or regular, serious or serious fun (meaning carefully place the beer cup down before making a play in the outfield), etc.
In response to the last question, the organizer told us that because most of the games are on local municipal fields, there is no booze or smoking allowed. He then went on to say, it’s easy enough to hide a beer in a cup or water bottle so that rule isn’t strictly enforced but there is absolutely no smoking allowed at the field(s)!!!

Oh, &…blurf!

We call that the dog-o-mat. We’ve got one fairly close, but Winchester plays on our emotions and we feel bad whenever we take him there. If we drop him off someplace to get groomed, they always tell us he was a perfect gentleman and a little angel (usually after he pooped on the floor while we signed him in–he saves it sometimes to embarrass us). But if we wash him ourselves, it’s all shaking and moaning and crying like we’re beating him to death.

Love that high-velocity dryer, though.

This weekend was average, but not annoying, so I call that a win. Took some naps, did some grocery shopping. On Saturday night I dog-sat for some friends and met probably the dumbest dumb dog I’ve ever had the opportunity to become acquainted with. His main hobbies appear to be snoring and running around the kitchen table in a circle with a toy in his mouth. Seriously–I clocked him and he ran around the table fifteen times without stopping just for something to do. But he’s a good snuggler when he stops running.

Tonight I have to finish my damned Halloween costume. That is my only goal.

I just saw where flytrap took Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) to Kill The Wabbit last night. Now that’s class!

Hey all!

Well, it’s the actual Thanksgiving now, for me at least. I plan to work on music and crafts all day,and then go to a jazz concert downtown.

Blurf.

Despite taking the day off, I was up early to go see the vampire. She took 6 tubes of blood. I may go back to bed to recover from the blood loss…

That’s what the darned conductor called it.

It was a pops Halloween concert. They did Star Wars, and had two ushers dressed as stormtroopers. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) mentioned that one of them was short, so I had to yell out, “Kinda short for a stormtrooper, aren’t you?”

big ol’ blurf!

Sounds like a cool concert.

I don’t know when was the last time I went to an orchestra concert. :frowning: It’s been too long.

(bolding mine)

Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
I LIKE you, sir!

Damp blurf.

This and the fact that I have to drag him kicking and screaming off the stoop when it’s damp is why Gordie has the nickname “Princess Pretty Paws”

Um, swampy has the bedazzler. I like the idea of shopping for cocktails, though. Sort of an upscale pub crawl.

BBBobbio, six tubes?

I think she hemolyzed at least one. She was a cussin’ under her breath.

The last time I took Sah-dog to a groomer she called me to come hold him while she bathed him. People are afraid of him because they think he is growling when he isn’t. He chokes and snorts and snores and gurgles and sounds like the Tazmanian Deil in the cartoons.

Time to get up and get moving.

Mawnin all and Happy Monday,

I have to go and read the rest of last weeks MMP because I haven’t been here since Thorsday night. Irk was good but long, left the house around 9am on Friday and got home last night about 11:30, payday will be nice.

Flytrap nice Stormtrooper zinger

Need more coffee and a lazy day

Cheers all

Jim

Tweaked something in my back yesterday at lunchtime, probably bent over just a little bit too much, or twisted too far trying to get at the cooler containing my lunch. Whatver did it, I was in dire pain right after lunch and wound up using the nuclear option of taking some percocet and going home to sleep. When we got home, more perc and some valium, then a nap.

I’m still extra-achy today, but at least I don’t think any actual damage was done like breaking a screw loose.

I just wish we were closed today. I looked in paper yesterday at the “What’s closed?” list and found that Columbus Day continues to be a screwball semi-holiday. No mail, but UPS and FedEx are running. The libraries are closed, but city offices are open. Some banks are closed and some are open. We happen to be in that latter category, but I could really use a day of medicating and snoozing.
