Collected more chestnuts, and delivered 'em to people- got given so many nice chestnut recipes by one of the people that I’m now getting tempted to go get some more, just to try 'em out
Mind you, I just looked up how much the amount I found would have cost at the local supermarket- £29! That’s over $45! Not bad for about half an hour.
Short work week here. Going to a weekend retreat on Friday, but I might work half a day, seeing as I have about 6 hours of PTO left for the rest of the year.
Blurf. Yes, noontime blurf. I woke up this morning to discover that my mouse was giving me the Red Light of Death and I was out of AA batteries. Oh well, I needed to get Older Sister a birthday card. Then I went to the library and just as I got in line to check out, the computers all went down. Fortunately they had a backup piece of paper and pencil.
I’m going to do nothing today. I’m still tired. No idea why, I just am.
loo those of us who play Celebrity Death Pool know Baker as DeathMistress, even those of us (moi) who well and truly suck and have a big ol’ goose aig for the year thus far.
Beast stew and corn bread for dindin. Chewy chawklit chip cookies with pee-kahns for dessert cause I made em.
I only played for one year … as I recall, I put Gerald Ford on my list and then he promptly went and died about a week before the new year began. So I gave up. I think I ended the year with 0 points.
We’ve got our flights to Heathrow booked - going on Icelandair via Keflavik - it cost us a whopping $407.20 each!! That’s like $1K less than most other carriers. So we’re flying in a day early and staying at a hotel at Heathrow in a semi-feeble attempt to thwart jetlag. We leave DC on Monday night, get to London just before noon on Tuesday, and catch the bus to the ship at 9 on Wednesday morning. So we’ll use Tuesday to get the sleep we won’t get on the plane. Since we’ve both been to London, we’re not going to do the tourist thing. Plus the cruise is around Great Britain, so we’ll see lots of stuff anyway. Yay!
Big ball of fire in sky has been more present than not today - I actually had to pull down my sun visor on the ride home! It’s a nice change after a week of dreary. If I wasn’t so tired, I’d go futz in the garden. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe not. Whatever.
Pseudo-tuna casserole for supper - I’ll be mixing tuna, peas, and mushrooms into some Pasta Roni. It’s a cheater casserole, but who cares - I’s tahred!
For the record, I don’t have a bedazzler, nor do I sport bedazzled underwear. It seems a waste to use them on Depends…
Dindin is et. I make good beast stew if’n I do say so myself. Go Me!
Ok Nurse! it is then. The exclamation point gives it a certain je ne sais quoi. Hubby has a right to be a cranky pants right now. However, if it get’s too much a couple valium crushed up in his cocoa should help.
