Sometimes… He just went to the gym. He’ll be better when he gets home.
I’m cranky because I think I’m getting a cold. I don’t get sick often. (Well, other than the life-threatening trip to the hopsital, of course) And, when I do, I just soldier on.
He’s more of the whiny, pissy baby type. (Did I say that out loud?!)
I promised a picture once I got the t-shirt rug finished. Here it is.
There’s a garden spider hanging out on my curtain. It’s been there all day. I should check to see if it’s still alive. checks Yep, it’s alive and now hanging out in the Not Our Spidey Plant. Like attracts like I guess.
I had a very yucky day.
I had a 1:30 doctor’s appointment, so I go out to the car at 1pm and my remote doesn’t work. And I can’t unlock the door manually. So luckily the super was outside so he was kind enough to run to the store for batteries for me. When he got back we discovered the car battery was dead. So he got his jumper cables and charged the battery. I got to the doc’s easily enough, but when I went back out to my car, the battery was dead again. So I called the auto club (Allstate, if you’re curious), and the guy came and charged up the battery again.
I decided to go right over to Sears auto. As I was about to turn in to the parking lot, my brakes sank to the floor. I’m glad I was right there and not stuck in traffic somewhere.
Replacing the battery wasn’t so bad, but they have to keep it overnight because they won’t be able to get the brake parts until tomorrow.
Thank goodness my friend M was home. She was kind enough to brave rush hour traffic to pick me up and drive me home, and she’s going to pick me up and take me to Sears tomorrow when the car is ready.
So maybe not really yucky, because noone was hurt and no property was damamged - except maybe my bank account when I see the bill tomorrow . . .
I’m back from Kauai. We had a good time. When we left it was still warm enough to not even wear a light jacket; when we returned on Saturday night it was cooooold.
I didn’t take near as many pictures this time, and the majority of the pics were taken on the Na Pali coast. It is beautiful over there.
I head back to work tomorrow, although I will not be paid. My boss tried to recall me while I was in Kauai. I texted her back and told her that unless I was reimbursed for my ticket, I would return to work this week. This was a “planned leave” and I have a signed leave slip for that time. She texted back and told me to enjoy my trip.
While I enjoyed my trip, I missed my dogs and am glad to be home with them. They have stuck to my side like glue since my return.
Leftover pork roast and mashed N.O.T. for dinner.
It’s been a day. I’m not ready to jump off the bridge although my friend invited me to jump with her. Her day was a little worse.
I imagine bedazzled undies would be okay until you sit down.
Remember body shirts from way back in the 70s, the ones with snaps in the crotch. I learned the hard way - never ride a horse in one. A friend learned the hard way, never sit cross legged in front of a fire if your pants have a rivet in the crotch.
I had a meeting to go to tonight, someone brought soft pretzels so my dinner ended up being 2 soft pretzels & I’s still too stuffed to eat anything else.
They offered us suite tix to the preseason basketball game. I think there were more employees in the building than fans. Wished it was hockey instead.
Thhe store down the road sells soft pretzels stuffed with crab meat. They called them stuffed but the crab meat actually sits on top. I’d like them better with less Old Bay on them, the pretzels are already salty enough. Soft pretzel dipped in cheese sauce sounds good too.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas, irk purtiification must commence.
It’s a dark chilly 54 degrees with a projected high of 67. Gonna be a pretty day.
Today is pizza day and laundry day.
Sah-son is zipping right along playing notpron - I suck at it.
