Having interacted with manny folks here, it has occurred to me the some of us are going to run into a twin.
Someone who is so like you, so near to your posting style, someone who says what you were gonna say if you were online sometimes, and in other sundry ways is akin to you.
This occurred to me on IRC one night, as it was plain to me that GaWd was just like me, or I just like him, or whatever, in a lot of respects, right down the occassional excessive use of commas to make hideous run-on sentences.
While we are very different, it became clear that we have a lot in common, more so than usual, as to be remarkable.
Anyway, I was interested in knowing if anyone else has run into someone who could be their Dope Twin.
And if this needs to be in IMHO, kindly move it there, but if it’s fine here, let it remain. Thanks.
Well, for me it’s a tough call. There’s a few posters that tend to react in a similar manner, but obviously, they usually are more eloquent than me, what with me being a foreigner and all.
I often see posts by Mullinator and John Corrado that basically take the words out of my mouth.
And although I am by no means the poster he was, not in eloquence nor in wit, I would like to think that WallyM7 was my SD Twin, to an extend. Well, maybe somewhat of an SD Dad, in that case. Yeah, I think I like that one.
Well, I don’t know if this counts, but the soon-to-be-poster-after-browser-cooperates named Mr. Pickle (and he does exist!) is the closest thing to a twin I’ve ever had. And that includes my brothers.
I’ve known him for my entire nineteen years. We didn’t start out the same, but it kinda turned out that way.
Erm, I’d say you could borrow her, but 1 - she’d probably hurt you and 2 - you’d get her dirty.
If you’re ever in the Colorado Springs area, you have got to look me up, we’l’ go to Dave and Buster’s and kick much ass.
And Coldfire, It’s good to finally have something to say. I would think that you and Mully are the same person, so that’s cool. Wally was like a dad to all of us, there is no one like him at all, though everyone got along with him. Amazing isn’t it, that no one fucked with him? Wow, he was such an amazing person. sniff

On another note, C’mon Lex…I’m sure she’d be a sport. And as to being hurt by her, I can’t say I wouldn’t enjoy suffering at the hands of such a beauty!

Hey Coldy, I was thinking the same basic thing. I consider it an honor to be lumped in with a drunken Dutchman. And, I too, viewed Wally kind of like an SDMB dad of my posting style. Hopefully we learned from his example well enough to carry the torch onwards.
