The Extreme Right Obama Hate is Flat Out Nuts

And Obama has drawn serious criticism, not only from the left, but from ordinary East Coast Establishment liberals such as economist Paul Krugman.

As for lefties critical of Obama, I think I can fairly offer myself as someone who leans leftish. On the conservative wing of the extreme left. I won’t say I’m “disappointed” with his policy choices, because I wasn’t expecting Dennis Kucinich with a tan. Obama told me who he was, and who he wasn’t, pretty much, and I picked him as being as close as I’m likely to get.

But the thing is, I genuinely believe that Obama is smarter than me. (I’ve managed to forgive that, but the smokin’ hot wife and the gorgeous kids still rankle…) If we disagree, I’ve got to keep an eye on the possibility that he’s right and I’m wrong. I had no such trouble with…the previous administration.

Further, I believe that he is not as stubborn as…that other guy. If I’m right, and can offer substantial proof, I can bring him around. Obama wants to know, Bush thought he already did know.

You should seek your needed treatment from a doctor not the patients in this asylum!

’Lucy is a satirist. I don’t believe he really wants to see them hanged. He’s not a barbarian. I’m sure he would avert his eyes.

Glad to see you’re back. Still waiting on those cites as noted in post 110.

For the first time in many years, we finally had a candidate who looked like a shoe-in to beat the Republicans, and who also ran a damn fine campaign despite constant attacks from the other side. It finally looked as though the Republican Reign of Terror was over.

Please, forgive us for being excited.

Its hard not to avert your eyes involuntarily when you’re masturbating like a motherfuck.

The Huffington Post is a collecting area for nutcases. It is not a reliable source for anything. I’d be willing to bet a buck that they hunted for quite a while to find “offensive” signs, and most of what they had posted as offensive was a simple statement of fact.

Yes, we have extremists on the right. There are extremists on the left as well. The lunatic fringe is alive and well on both spectrums.

Wow! There’s no irrational adulation of Obama happening according to you guys? Wow! Just…wow! In the runup to the election? Of course now that he’s messing up, that’s another matter, but prior? Unbelievable.

Adulation? Sure. Out of proportion? Perhaps. But what exactly about it made it irrational? The fact that you didn’t agree with his politics? I found that the level of undeserved adulation for Obama was microscopic compared to the orgy of praise coming from the right about Palin. But I still wouldn’t call it “irrational”.

ing. Happening. There was. It happened. It is not happening.

Yeah, people went gaga during the election. But you continue to wield the Messiah stick like it still means something, if it ever really did.

I consider my adulation of President Boyfriend completely rational. It was based on his personal qualities, demonstrated through his words and actions. Whatever kind of president he ultimately proves to be, the man I saw and the man I voted for was, in pretty much every imaginable respect, a truly exceptional person and an amazing politician, in an entirely good way (vs. being an amazing politician by virtue of one’s ability to be successful through being underhanded and manipulative).

Plus way cuter than any candidate for any office I’ve ever seen in my life. AND way cooler. And a great Dad with a bitchen wife and terrific kids.

What’s not to adulate? (first time I’ve ever used that verb in my life.)

And I’m pretty much still adulatin’, if not with quite the degree of fervor. Washington will drag down even the most impressive…

Oh, everybody’s equal then. I had no idea. I guess the whole conversation is over.

(might wanna read the rest of the thread)

The point being that the sort of slavish adulation the lefties openly admit they feel for Obama corresponds exactly to the kind of attitude they condemn towards any politician not of the Left.

Except on the SDMB. There is no one on the SDMB who expresses that kind of slavish adoration for Bush. No one.

The rather small minority of us who have ever expressed qualified approval for Bush, or even who refuse to join the ritual abuse of him, are labelled as apologists. Often by the same group who fantasize publicly about sticking their tongues up Obama’s ass. And I am not being figurative.

Regards,
Shodan

Well, if they fantasize publicly, then you can produce a cite, eh?

Otherwise, you can take your broad-based generalization and self-satisfy this anal fixation you clearly have.

That’s because Bush did almost no good.

Tell that to AIDS sufferers in Africa.

And who else had the moral courage to stand firm against the dread menace of human-animal hybrid experimentation? Who, I ask, who? I ask “Why?” as well, along with “WTF?”, but “Who?” comes first!

He did say “almost”.

I too would like to the see your cite of people here on the SDMB publicly fantasizing about sticking their tongues up Obama’s ass.

You used the plural “tongues” so I’m sure you have more than one person who posted this.

Cite, please, Shodan?
