It’s been a long time since an art installation affected me so deeply.
It started out small, but once the locals got word, they joined up en masse.
And then…well, read the last paragraph and you understand why I found it so deeply moving

A terrific idea well executed. I give it a 10/10.
I like it, but why 9,000? Is that just the number they could fit in the space or time available? Because it doesn’t appear to have any direct correspondence to numbers I can find about D-day losses.
