There is a documentary that is supposed to be very good about 9/11 called The Falling Man, based on this controversial photograph. Has it been shown in the U.S.? If not, does anyone know if they plan to?
They aired it some time ago on CBC in Canada. It was an interesting but seems to stretch to fill the time. The initial history of how the image was captured and its spread to the papers was interesting.
The theory of how it become purged from collective memory and replaced with the preferable images of rescue workers over the course of the days following 9/11 was debatable but still a facinating study.
As for the search for the identity of the unknown jumper it goes in circles and after a while seems a little too sensationalistic.
Yeah, I thought it was much more interesting when it wasn’t trying to track down the ID.
