Anyone read The Feather Men? It’s a badly-written, but pretty damned fascinating story, written by British explorer and former SAS man, Ranulph Fiennes.
I’m not going to go into too much detail, but I’ll give you Amazon’s synopsis, which stupidly gives away the ‘twist’ ending:
An adventure story which is made all the more remarkable by the fact that it is actually true. An Arab prince wishes to avenge the deaths of his four sons, by killing four former SAS men. The intended fourth victim turns out to be the author himself.
This thread may be a non-starter, as I don’t know that too many people will have read this book, but if you have - do you think it could possibly be true?
