Reported to the mods, and I’ve started scoring.

Since I didn’t make no misspellings a rule, I will combine any I find. The first one I ran across is neighbor/neighbour - which isn’t even a misspelling.

Will you also combine plurals and singulars? Like strength and strengths?

Yes.

Phew! There’s some more points for me.

I may claw my way up to the lower middle of the field on rhythm(s) alone.

Shouldn’t that be 6 for oleo/olio?

Oleo.

Olio.

Two different things.

Which one were they chanting in The Wizard of Oz?

Ooh, #7! I thought I’d do much worse on this one!

Oh - wee - oh!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Wow – 9th place! I think that’s my best ever!

I was a little surprised with this group to be the only one who thought of ‘caffeine’.

Just for the record, I had been thinking of the entire rule ‘i before e except after c or when sounding like ‘a’ as in neighbour and weigh’, but I didn’t want to give the whole thing because ‘neighbour’ is an example of a word which differs in UK and US spelling. I was up a gum tree - in trying to avoid a conch on the US/UK question, I ended up with ‘neighbour’ as an answer to the first question.

That was fun, though.

Hm, if I had bothered to Google up answers for the ones I couldn’t think of off the top of my head, I’d have done pretty well. Most of the big-points answers were ones I’d thought of.

I can’t believe I got 6th place! I don’t think I’ve ever come in top 10 before. And I think I even passed on the one-consonant question. Cool!
