I still like Garfield. I think allowing Jon and Liz to finally date brought some life back into its doddering corpse. There’s no excuse for the drek that is For Better or For Worse. It went towards “worse” long before the reboot, back when Lynn Johnston decided that Elizabeth just *had *to marry sad-sack Anthony instead of the hot Native policeman she actually had chemistry with. No, I’m not still bitter about that or anything.
It certainly helped (perhaps the one time in history that jumping the shark actually worked), but the strip is still definitely showing its age.
