The Feud: The 1800's by notfrommensa [Game Over]

Tied for 2nd! WOOT!

Thank you, Rebo and notfrommensa! That was a great one.

The first one I’ve participated in, and I’ve come in 34th out of 42. I’m #34! I’m #34! Woo hoo! Nowhere to go but up (I hope).

I beat Siam Sam!! w00t!

I really need to stop second guessing, and go with the first answer that comes to mind.

I can’t believe I didn’t think of Suzie Anthony and the Telephone. In fact that’s what I’m going to name my next Motown act.

I thought for sure that in a 19th century poll, people would be thinking of railroads. But what do I know?

And my total lack of knowledge of TV westerns killed me; should have just wikipedia’d it.

Hooray! It’s been a long time since I last won one.

I’m glad that the two Grover Cleveland answers were not consecutive.

Holy cow. Two top five finishes in the last three Feuds for me. I must be doing something wrong.

Dang, second? I did way better than I expected – I thought the Jim West answer (for TV character) would torpedo me. (Are torpedoes 19th-century technology?) Only had 6 number 1’s, guess they were the right 6.

Fun theme – thanks, notfrommensa – and, as always, thanks for running the game, Rebo!

I’m the only person who thought of Harriet Beecher Stowe. And I’m a real Dickens fan, too . . . I guess I was just keeping it American.

Finally, where I truly belong.

Wow this is a tough group. 6 first answers, 2 second answers, a third and a fourth, and only 6th place over all. I plan to play again
