The Fictional Dog/Owner Game Thread

The rules are simple: submit the name of a fictional dog, and the poster who can answer correctly with the name of the owner {and any other useful information} submits another fictional dog, and so on…

For example:
Scrufty
Farmer Pickles {from Bob The Builder}

OK…Jumble.

Do we have to answer the one before submitting another? Hopefully not.

Asta

Pal

Barfy

Nick and Nora Charles

Tiger

Normal rule for such a game is that you have to answer the prior one before you can submit one. Otherwise, no one would know who’s responding to what or when or why. It’s up to Case Sensitive how to structure this one, but you can see the problem already with five dog names tossed out and only one answer.

OK, let’s try to get this back on track…Tiger was the Brady Bunch’s dog.

Edgar

What Dex said, really.

Edgar, son of Farley, is the sheepdog from the comic strip “For Better or For Worse.”

Okay, who owned a dog named Fly?

Farmer Hoggett. Next: Argus.

Oops, that’s Farmer Hoggett from Babe, book by Dick King Smith.

Ulysses/Odysseus, yes? Good one!

Mine: Nop

I know, too easy.

Lewis Burkholder (but I had to Google that one–is that allowed?)

Next: Puddles

The comic strip Luann

Einstein

Doc Brown, from Back to the Future.

Delicious

For the record, Jumble was William Brown’s dog, in Richmal Crompton’s William series.

Barfy is the dog in the Family Circus “comic”.

How about–Montmorency?

He belonged to the narrator of Three Men In A Boat, by Jerome K. Jerome. I don’t think the narrator ever gave his name.

How about Bartleby?
