I had an amusing moment when signing in for class today - there was a new receptionist, and when she saw me flipping through the sign-in sheets she smiled and said, “Oh, those are for the teachers.” I smiled back, nodded, found my name, signed in, and said, “Yes, they are.”
I’m going to bet on TNC arriving around midnight tonight.

The first hour or so after my arrival was very tense. But we have worked it out and he doesn’t know it yet, but he’ll be taking me out somewhere for a faaaabulous dinner.

The comment Special 1 made about men remembering anniversaries just reminded me of something.
Mr. Taters has been talking about hosting a 99 party sometime this month. I’ve been very noncommittal about it, because frankly, I get sick of my stuff getting messed up by my nephew. Also, his LOUDNESS just starts getting on my last nerve. He’s not an ass, he’s just LOUD and I can’t handle it for long periods.
Anyhoo…the other night my husband tells me we’re having a 99 party on the 26th of this month. My response to him was, “So, you’re screwing me over on our anniversary now too?!”. He is the WORST with dates. He just can’t keep them straight to save his life. You see, last May, he decided we were having a 99 party, ON MY BIRTHDAY. By that time, he had already invited everybody, so I didn’t feel like he could retract the invite. So, I spent the day cleaning house and prepping appetizers for the party. Some birthday!
This time, I don’t care if has extended invites. He can retract them. I’m not doing it again on a “special” day. Just not happening. Why yes, I AM being stubborn. I’m the one who does all the heavy cleaning and food prep, and I’m NOT using my anniversary to do it.
I think we’ll host one the weekend after this upcoming weekend. I’m not totally heartless, I just don’t feel like I should have to give up my anniversary for it.

Anyway, just another drive by unfortunately. Work is for chumps and today I have been crowned King Chump. Mamas, do not let your babies grow up to be CSR. Make them disciplined enough not to flake out on college so that they can get real positions, because it’s hellafied trying to do it as an adult with rent and car to pay for.
