ETA: HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIGS!!!

Happy Birthday, Rigsy!

Happy Birfday rigs

Um…[sub]It’s not my birthday[/sub] How embarrassing. I’m a Cancer–moody as hell, and a homebody. July 12, in the year of our lord I won’t say when…

It’s #1 son’s Birthday today–he is 16. We got him a nice “starter” electric guitar, amp, strap, cable, case and stand–all for $200. Not too bad.

Note to self, number 2: do not fuck with ems.

No baby yet. So, I guess no shared Bday with #1 son. Poop.

ok, then, Happy Birthday, Rigs’ #1 Son!

 Good enough for me! Thanks.

what rebo said!

OK I hunted out all the random crap/essential data and at 7PM Cali time I am going home

Toodles!

Wanna know sump’n? I’m kinda diggin’ my new found employment. In insurance. Of all things. I worked until nine tonight and liked it. I’ll probably go in for a few hours on  Saturday  of all things! I’m still up and not sleepy cause I’m all wired instead of tired from work. Of all things. Even though I did take a couple hours off to go have dindin, I was there at 8:30 this mornin’. I’ll be there at 8:30 tomorrow mornin’ too. And work until 9:00 or a little later tomorrow night. All cause I like it. I’ve either found sump’n real good or I’ve finally gone round the bend for good this time.

Also, I is an idiot! :smack: It’s too late to do anything about it, I suppose, but I really meant to guess 8:35 P.M. 1/10/08. :smack:

I need a beerverage.

I have a CTA card, which works with the PACE buses. But I accidentally got on an express Metra train to Burrington or something or other, which zipped right past Des Plaines - I had to wait a half-hour to catch the next train going back towards the city and ended up being 15 minutes late. Eek.

Ah well. Live and learn.

Oakton seems so well organized it’s intimidating. I’m really going to have to stay on my toes here. No more slacking off. Heh.

Nice top, rigs. I can never manage to pull those kinds of tops off. They make my boobs look weird for some reason.

:: hands MissPurl a drink :: Teaching is draining at the best of times.

Oh and by the way, Noone, I’ve had a license for a few years now, so there’s no need to freak. :stuck_out_tongue: I just need one that’s valid in IL.

Mr. Lissar says I should just watch everyone running around guessing. He says it’s like a tv show where I’m suddenly invisible and everyone is running around worrying.

Actually, we’re just timing fairly low-intensity contractions, that have been every five or so minutes for an hour. I’m going to page the midwife and see what she says. It may have started, or it may not. I will let you know.

Well…geez…that’s interesting…not sure why I thought it was your birthday, when I also knew perfectly well it was your son’s. :smack: Happy birthday, #1!!!

::Smacks Mr. Lissar upside the head with a wet trout.::

I should be asleep by now. Maybe I’ll try that.

When tinyninjachef is old enough to get a SDMB account, I’m Pitting him for this. Work went, only 2 days till Firday.

Happy Birthday rigsson #1!!!

Cite? (Can’t let the night shift have all the fun.)

Sorry work sucked, Enfant Terrible. Welcome to the MMP, though, badkid!

CutiePie, don’t be so hard on TVMan, I was 33 before I remembered my mother’s birthday without prompting.

Well obviously I don’t have any such shirt, as spending money on a shirt that makes my boobs look weird would be silly. :dubious:

How do you know, unless you have a shirt like that?

See, if you go to a store, they have these little stalls, where you can stuff inside and try it on. They even have mirrors so you can see how it looks on you! And if, for some reason, the clothes fit funny, like make your boobs look weird, you can put them back on the rack and walk out. :stuck_out_tongue: Craaaaaaaaazy, isn’t it?

Oooh, changing rooms. High tech.
Midwife says go to bed, and if things start progressing I Will Know, and page her, saying “Ow ow ow”. Since I’m not at that stage, we’re heading off to try to sleep. She thinks it’s probably just very consistent prodomal (the sort of loosening-things-up but not serious early stage that can go on and off for weeks).

I think midwives have some kind of sleep allergy. She volunteered to come later tonight, and at seven in the morning, if I need her. I love my midwives.

Hmm, sounds familiar. That’s how I started with snowbunny – by the time I got to the hospital 45 minutes later, I was 8 cm dilated, and she was born 4 hours to the minute from when I first realized I was having regular contractions. Which means tnc should pop at about…oh…2:45 a.m. tomorrow.

Here’s hoping you have a nice, fast, easy labor, too! If that’s what it is, of course. Although obviously that sentiment holds true whether you’re in labor now or later. Anyway, I’m babbling, aren’t I? :smack:

I can’t wear tops like that, either, Rigs. Well, I probably could except I’d have to find a bra that would hold the girls up while not showing to extremes, plus it would probably make me look fat. Since I’m hopefully too old to look pregnant, thank heaven.

I think it’s time to go get some sleep or something. The ol’ brain seems to not be firing on all thrusters right now. :dubious:

Happy birthday to #1rigsson! I missed that too!

Okay Li-Li, you do realize that we’re all on pins and needles here and when you “disappear” for several hours we all start worrying. Especially since you promised you’d post if it’s for real. Yeah, I can see that happening. Somehow, I don’t think your hubby is going to let you. At any rate, I hope it’s a smooth, easy delivery.

I’m glad you like your new job, swampy. I hope you continue to like it.

Ooh, I’ve got clothes to throw in the dryer.
