The Gay Star Trek Character

Well, it’s definitely not Beverly Crusher.

Could be Data, though. “I am programmed to provide a full range of pleasuring.”

If it is Scotty, it puts a whole different spin on “Captain, she’s gonna blow!”

Now now!

If anyone could be classified as gay from the upstart it would have to be Odo from DS9. After all, his race were all shapeshifters/changlings. Who knows what sex they were… they were all the same when in liquid form.

Am I the only one who’s continually amused at how this thread is tending to hover right next to the Tom Cruise Trek thread?

No, no, we’re just trying to come up with something funny enough for a lawsuit.

This is a good illustration of how pop culture fails me. I always wish I lived in the alternate universe with leather Kira.

Beat me, spank me, make me write hot checks!

You’re all ignoring the obvious! It’s Kirk! Don Juanism is a classic sign of repressed gayness!

I’ve always thought Tasha Yar was kinda on the dikey side in the series. Don’t know why except for the short hair and being a tough security officer.

Tasha did a little Data mining…

I always suspected that Geordi was going to get into trouble one day for fudging Data.

What about that guy that tried to keep Data as a collectors item?

Malcolm Reed, of course.

Yeah, especially after we discovered that he died without producing any heirs on that alternate Enterprise that was flung back in time. He needed to stop trying to act on heterosexual urges that just weren’t there!

No, Klingon drag is a well-tailored three-piece pinstripe suit for men, and a light tennis frock for women, with white shoes only between Memorial Day and Labour Day.

Ah, no, you’re thinking of Klingon plushies.

I believe there was an episode where he got all psuedo-freaky with a Changeling who took a male form. The eroticism was barely subtext, especially since the act was later implied to be directly analogous to human intercourse.

The fact that they consistently chose to represent any particular gender, and that they seem to occasionally reproduce, suggests to me that they do have it in some way.
