I’d like to thank you all for playing along. This thread didn’t do very well at first, and looked like it was going to sink like a rock. I found this a little disappointing, given that it took me a while to create the questions and also ‘beta test’ them among personal friends.
However, it now seems as if the thread has enough momentum to survive, at least long enough for someone to actually win the prize money (at which point I may start devising the next one). Thank you all for participating in the right spirit - I know it’s quite tough, but at the end of the day it is meant to be for fun. Thanks also to one and all for not posting answers in the thread itself (no matter what may be going on behind the scenes via PMs and emails).
Can we talk ideas for #2? what sort of creative source for “Jesus” could he mean? I’ve tried postcodes of places but not got far. I’ve included “Christ” in that search. Or an opus number for some musical work. Still nothing. I just want my life back so I need the answers!
May we lurkers hope that an answer and complete explanation will be posted at some point?
Yes, Lynne-42, you can… but please not openly within the thread itself. Discussion of possibilities and options you have explored is fine, but please take it offline. This is why Og in her wisdom gave us email, PM, Facebook messaging and MSN. By the way, please abandon this absurd notion that you will one day your life back. After this, there will be another Ungoogleable Quiz, and then another, and then another, and another… (speech cross-fades into deranged, cackling laughter that echoes around the thread as we fade to black).
Ostragoth… I’m sorry you felt like lurking instead of participating. I don’t know about ‘complete explanation’, but I do intend to post the answers once someone has won and claimed the prize money. Assuming I live that long.

Thanks to Moderator Marley23 for moving this thread back to the forum I originally selected for it. Perhaps if there is another Quiz, I’ll start it over in the Games room, but since I never normally go there I preferred this one to live in MPSIMS for the duration.
I’d like to thank Colophon for informally undertaking the role of ‘Answers We Think We’ve Got’ compiler - which is actually as helpful to me as it is to anyone else.
It seems the number of ‘known’ answers is slowly growing, and that Q2 and Q9 are proving to be the toughest. We do now have participants claiming to have answers for Q9, although some have suggested their own answers might be a bit ‘iffy’. I think ‘iffy’ is good. Maybe the ‘iffy’ answers are better than mine.
I don’t want this thread to out-stay its welcome. Perhaps we will reach a point where either (a) I start giving clues, or (b) I award the prize to whomever submits the most complete list, even if it lacks all ten correct answers. However, for the time being, let’s continue as if all ten answers are needed, as per the OP.
May I also place on record my disappointment that even though I am easily contactable, no-one has so far tried bribery or corruption to get the right answers. Lures, bribes, false promises, inappropriate sexual offers, pleas, sob stories, blackmail… no-one has yet used any of these tried-and-tested methods of subverting the process. * sigh * Truly, the Dope has become a shadow of its former self.
I got it!! I got number 2!!! And I know I am right!! A week of my life I will never get back again, but I got number 2! All by myself I got it! Nothing iffy about it.
