'The Great Flood' - a new collaboration featuring Bill Frisell and Bill Morrison

Some of you may recall a film called The Mesmerist – a haunting short film that reanimated a decaying nitrate print of a 1926 silent feature The Bells, starring Lionel Barrymore & Boris Karloff, re-edited by Bill Morrison with music by Bill Frisell.

The guitarist/composer and filmmaker are collaborating again on ‘The Great Flood’, a 75 minute film based around the Mississippi flood of 1927, and its profound effect on American society and music. They are in the last stages of fundraising right now - no word on when (or if) the project will go ahead. They are currently raising funds among their fans - for those interested, google Bill Frisell Great Flood for more information on the project.
