From WaPo:
This is my secret dream: enough Republicans are just straight-up disgusted with Jordan that they vote “present” rather than throw him support. Their “present” votes are a straight-up gift to Jeffries.
Hey, a boy can dream.

And here we go! Already one “other” vote, though i didn’t hear who it was for.
ETA Bacon for McCarthy
Rep. Bacon voted for McCarthy.
McCarthy.
Just a reminder that votes are not set in stone - reps can change their minds before the final tally.
Rep. Buck, one of the holdouts, didn’t vote when his name was called.
Buck either isn’t the or refused to answer. I think he was one of the holdouts.
ETA Flurb beat me to it. Another vote for Kevin. Chavez-Doreemer is what it sounded like.
What just happened to cause the boos?
Lori Chavez DeRemer
Who did Despisto vote for?
He’s one of the NY swing districts.
Apparently an R for Jeffries.
Not this round, Jim.
Wow. That’s a hell of a protest vote!
Are we sure this happened? MSNBC hasn’t noted it. There have been 2 votes for Lee Zelden, though.
It was Zelden, not Jeffries.
Thanks. I relied on a reddit commentor.
So far, Jordan already has 8 9 of his own members who have voted for someone else.
I’m a little heartened that there are so many holdouts even after the hardball blitz that Jordan reportedly doesn’t the weekend waging. Stay strong, don’t let this be a token protest! Jordan is a menace.
Kevin had 22 against him in the first vote. Let’s see if Jim does better.
McCarthy votes for Jordan
Kay Granger, who’s an old school appropriator, voted for Scalise.
