The British Isles appears to have an issue with mice that obsessively tidy up human property without needing princesses to sing to them.
I wonder if this behavior helped create any folklore about various “little people”?

Dang, I’ve been keeping my pet rats in a cage. I never thought about letting them out so they could clean up the house at night.
@purplehorseshoe Hey, it looks like you should have let your ratties run free, LOL!
For some reason I feel worried.
I find it charming.
You know that mouse is so exasperated. “Every night, it’s the same damn thing with this shed! What the hell, man?”
It was mentioned on some web site that he may be hiding nuts, it’s food storage.
My wife and I read this article the other day. We were more surprised by this statement:
“I don’t bother to tidy up now, I leave things out of the box and they put it back in its place by the morning,” he said.
We are unsure about exactly why this guy feels he needs to empty everything out of the box each day. I didn’t really see anything in the box that one would need to use on a regular basis. Does he go into the shed every morning and dump everything out of the box to make sure it’s all there?
I read somewhere the man had given this mouse a name. Can’t remember it just now but it was a bit lame so I’ll offer a better one:
