Not exactly the wonderful return to feuds I was looking for after a victory and an absence. But I’ll take top half quite happily. I can’t believe I didn’t go with mitosis I just figured that most people would know that cell division is mitosis and try to come up with a better answer.

I was pretty sure mitosis was the wrong answer but it was the closest I could come up with. Plus I figured everyone else would remember mitosis, too. Because cell division is a bit obscure after all these years…

I thought that the word “phase” in the question would be enough of a hint the people would recall at least one of the phases. Plus I’m too much of a biologist that I didn’t even think of simply answering “mitosis”.
So… stayin’ awake occasionally in high school biology paid off did it?

Yeah, I almost went with Mitosis too, but the biologist in me just could not do it. It’s just not right!

Yeah, I goofed by going with mammoth. Dodo is the obvious answer, but it wouldn’t even have been my second thought…if I’d glanced over at the one on my desk, I would have changed my answer to trilobite, and done even worse!

I’m 17. Yah me. Much better than the last one. I figured abalone for the #5 question and California Condor for #7 would lose me points. In my defense, #5 just made me hungry for what I want, not for what others would guess.
