The homeless make more money than I do...does this distrurb anyone else?

Ah, yes. The welfare person who came into our office and announced “I just got rent subsidy for a 4 bedroom, and they say I’m entitled to a house.” Entitled by who? At a time when house prices are going through the roof and everything is being put on the market for sale, and we are having a hard time finding apartments for working people not on subsidy, you are “entitled” to rent a house?

We did have a nice 2BR house for rent and when the landlord took a working person, several subsidy people complained. “Well, if it would get me a place to live, the landlord should be forced to accept subsidy.” I hear that all the time.

Thanks Haj.

Just a tiny clarification:

I said,

That should have read “who suffer from PTSD”.

Alright Rilchiam, but “yuppie-snacks” sounded much funnier.

Annie, yep - nothing like an anecdote with absolutely no context, background or verification to make one’s point.
