The Hunter Biden Investigation {thread started in 2019}, Hunter Pardoned on December 1, 2024

The photos of Hunter and his hookers are disturbing. It’s obvious drugs were being consumed.

I agree most of that activity doesn’t require prosecution. The police didn’t catch him with drugs.

Hunters activities in China and Ukraine were investigated. Apparently there wasn’t enough proven to prosecute.

There weren’t even any legitimate accusations that would suggest even a chance of prosecuting.

As for the drugs, I spent the first 8 or so years of my career defending drug crimes (primarily). I cannot recall a single one where there wasn’t a lab test to prove what “looked like illegal drugs” were actually illegal drugs.

There was no chance Hunter would be prosecuted for a drug crime.

The evidence, when examined it its totality, tells us:

  • The Big Guy probably wasn’t Joe Biden
  • No one hired Hunter with the objective of using him as a conduit to Joe Biden
  • Hunter Biden did use his name to open doors like pretty much everyone who has a name to use
  • Hunter Biden had repeated and prolonged difficulties with drugs
  • This led to him being separated from the Navy and to financial difficulties
  • Drug use and financial difficulties together led to Hunter not paying taxes on legitimately earned income so that he could buy more drugs
  • He has since sought treatment and made monetary restitution
  • The terms of his plea are well within normal bounds of people who have offended similarly, if anything his punishment is a little on the heavy side if only slightly

You can’t get one inch beyond that without taking obvious liars at their word.

One might wonder - if you’re RW press - where the means came from to make restitution and was it corrupt money. Same concern as George Santos’ mysterious campaign funds. Someone will (or has) go/gone there.

He borrowed it, or maybe was given it, from Kevin Morris, an entertainment attorney and novelist. Morris is reportedly working with Hunter to make a book or movie about his story.

The thing is that Hunter has (or has had) a lucrative career that leads to plenty of legitimate income, at least when it’s not being siphoned away by an uncontrollable drug habit. Having a famous and powerful dad certainly helps too. There’s no need for conspiracy theories to explain it.

RW media might conclude that he’s kidnapping children to sell to pizza parlor basement vampires but they make Weekly World News look Pulitzer-worthy in comparison so what they think isn’t worth dwelling on.

What’s that called in science fiction, when a robot gets contradictory inputs, and either freezes or blows up? That MTG after the report. On the one hand taxes, but on the other hand, he wanted to buy a gun.

The front page of yesterday’s Chicago Tribune had this huge headline across the top: Hunter Biden to plead guilty in deal. It wasn’t much smaller than the “Trump indicted” headline a couple of weeks back – as if a POTUS’s son pleading out on misdemeanor tax charges is almost as important as a former POTUS being charged with multiple espionage-related felonies.

Dickheads.

Welcome to the Boards!

The link to that thread doesn’t work for me. Anyone else?

I’m not sure why you can’t access something called “Trock Holding thread,” but I have a pretty good guess.

I’m being whooshed by the moderator?

A troll/sock posted in the thread, and their posts have been put in a private thread available only to mods.

I guess.

Dang, I really wanted to unload on that post. /hijack

We make a point of not feeding trolls.

Hahahahahahahaha<inhale>hahahaha!

Let’s stop with the troll concerns and debates. Thanks.

I haven’t read it yet but the WaPo has published the testimony of an IRS whistleblower who is complaining about the DOJ investigation into Hunter.

ETA: I see that the interview was conducted by lawyers, so that should keep it relatively sane…

Sounds fascinating. After you read it, be sure to check back in with your thoughts about it!

The first concrete allegation is that Trump’s DOJ rejected IRS officers’ intent to execute search warrants (I take it to mean against Hunter Biden) in April 2020.
