The judge in the Hunter Biden case said Wednesday she is not ready to accept the plea deal struck between the president’s son and the Justice Department, and asked both parties to submit additional briefs and return to the court on a future date.
What a surprise, it’s another Trump appointed judge.
I cannot help but think the bellyaching and caterwauling by the congressional Republicans had some effect here.
I don’t get the fascination with Hunter Biden that Republicans and Trumpists have. He’s a private citizen; he doesn’t work for his father, or benefit his father in any way. Not that is apparent, anyway; and Joe Biden seems to me to be far too ethical to allow such in any event.
Is it just that Republicans/Trumpists believe that the President’s kids always work for their father (i.e. Ivanka, Jared, Donald Jr.), and therefore what the kids do is always to benefit the father?
If Hunter Biden is a bad apple, that’s fine, such things happen. But I don’t see where his affairs have anything to do with his father, which Republicans/Trumpists seem to think is the case.
Guilt by association has been a thing forever. Wasn’t MTG trying to claim Biden was eviiiilll for finishing the work of FDR and LBJ?

This is the answer. Along with Republicans and Trump most ironically coining the term “Biden crime family”.
It all boils down to their guy is slimy and dirty and appears to be breaking laws left-and-right, so they gotta manufacture some stuff about our guy that’s at least as bad. Some of it will stick, true or not.
I agree, but listen to them on any random day and it’s all “Biden Crime Family” and “Joe Biden is the most corrupt President ever.”
That’s the difference. They see everything he does as nefarious in some way.

Joe Biden is either a mastermind Godfather in charge of a crime family, or he’s a doddering old fool, suffering from dementia. I guess that he’s whatever they want him to be when it suits their purposes.
They think he’s Two-Face, but they’re refusing to notice that their guy is the Joker.
And that’s why they’ll never change. It’s not about facts or logic or consistency. It’s about giving all the deplorables some excuse for not voting Democrat. Some will do it because “Biden is senile”, some because “Biden is an evil genius”, some because “Biden is a secret crime lord”, some because “Biden is a bad father”. Everybody latches onto their favorite excuse, and it doesn’t bother them if everyone else is using a different excuse, even if their excuses are mutually incompatible. “Just so long as we all agree that Biden is trash” is all they care about.
The cries grow weaker as the evidence mounts. Trump is a separate issue. Biden has a lifetime record of lies. I have to wonder if the justice dept and the FBI are simply blinded by bias or does it go much deeper. It seems not many here really want the facts. If the shoe were on the other foot conservatives would be insisting the facts came out.

Can you name a few of them? I am genuinely interested in what people think Biden’s lies are. I am not going to challenge if they are, in fact, lies, but I am interested in what they are? Can you list a few?

You’ve presented no evidence for any of this. It really appears like you just have a deep personal problem with Biden, because I’ve never seen you actually present facts to support what you say about him.
I don’t normally gloat but once all these investigations are wrapped up it will be hard not to.
