The Hunter Biden Investigation {thread started in 2019}, Hunter Pardoned on December 1, 2024

Well today he put an end to cancer as we know it, he never talked business with his son, He used the left over money from covid to say he lowered the deficit. I would much rather just wait and see what happens than waste time on little lies and exagerations, I have just never seen Biden as someone with any character at all. he spends more time trying to divide tthis country than for his own benefit than he does lead. Hands down the worst president in my lifetime even if he is found innocent of all thse crimes coming up.

For “a lifetime record of lies” that all seems strangely recent.

The one being accused and investigated here is called Hunter Biden, it is not Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.
.
.
And today I learned that the President is a Jr.

Just for the record I see the same thing on the republican side and it is very disappointing to see intelligent people turn a blind eye because of identity politics. I doubt this country has much of a future left. Hopefully recent events on both sides will be a lesson to all of us.

But, but…the country’s all a’buzz about “Barbie”

And now having heard the clip . . . THAT’S NOT WHAT HE SAID!!!

“If you could do anything at all Joe what would you do?
I said I’d cure cancer and looked at me like why cancer?
Because no one thinks we can that’s why and we can end cancer as we know it.”

You forgot the Comet Ping Pong Pizza pedophile ring. And the Jewish space lasers. And how Biden personally killed all the puppies.

Seriously, do you get embarrassed repeating the lies of Fox News, the corporation that has been proven in court to promulgate lies?

Dude, put on your listening ears for a second.

The Joe Biden was bribed “to fire a prosecutor that was investigating Burisma” doesn’t hold any water.

It is true that prosecutor Victor Shokin was investigating Burisma, and that Joe Biden was one of the many politicians urging his firing.

But he was fired because he was in cahoots with the owner of Burisma, and helped him steal a boatload of money that had been seized by Great Britain. This is all well documented.

So, Joe Biden’s action, the thing he was supposedly bribed to do, worked AGAINST the interests of Burisma by depriving them of a co-conspirator in government.

The story just doesn’t hold up.

Moderating:

Talking about Joe Biden has nothing to do with the topic of this thread, which is the Hunter Biden investigation. Stay on topic or stay out of the thread. Moreover, bring evidence to support your claims, irrespective of what thread you’re in.

In the case of Trump’s various investigations, I don’t believe that most Republicans read, saw, nor listened to any of the concrete evidence and testimony that was brought forth by investigators.

In this case, unless Fox has revealed something beyond the whistleblowers who recently gave testimony, I believe that the Democrats in this thread are aware of everything that has been presented and evaluated it fairly.

I’m perfectly happy to go through it with you and answer why it’s not particularly damning. One of the big criticisms, for example, is that the IRS agents weren’t allowed to investigate Joe Biden. Bill Barr publicly announced, in 2019, that investigations of Presidential candidates was not allowed and it’s also his and the Executive branch’s policy from at least the GHW Bush era that the President can’t be investigated. If I knew this, back in 2019, and it was a big headline at the time, it’s not clear to me why Federal investigators wouldn’t have been aware of it, or would have thought that the House wasn’t aware of it.

Possibly Bill Barr’s policies aren’t good but they aren’t secret nor only newly brought to the news.

The only thing that stood out to me, as a Republican, as questionable was the activities of Lesley Wolf, warning Hunter of impending search warrants. That should be investigated.

Whether Hunter has been given too lenient a deal is certainly a bit questionable. I don’t mind the judge giving it a hard look.

Joe doesn’t look dirty, yet, from anything that the whistleblowers said. So, as said, unless Fox has presented something past the whistleblowers, I’d venture to guess that you would do well to post the things that you found questionable and see if the counter arguments don’t sound reasonable.

It’s actually hard to come up with new facts about a public figure like Hunter Biden. He just seems the type of person who sets out with purpose and then gets waylaid by stressors with no coping mechanisms. It would be expected to try to nail him down but it’s hard for the GOP to do that.

Personally i share personality with him in those ways. The only difference is my reluctance to be involved in unprofitable activities. I’d give specific examples but would foul up this thread sonething dreadful so gotta refrain from doing so.

As others have pointed out, they’ve paid far more in libel lawsuits than any other media organization in the history of our country (possibly the world). You have to watch Fox News to see their fiction because if others aired their fiction, Fox could sue them for copyright infringement, in the same way Fox could sue me if I aired a show called Future-a-go-go about a pizza delivery boy who falls in love with a cyclops alien named Layla.

You can’t copy a competitor’s fiction.

Some of these “recent events” are people accepting and spreading evidence-free slander of certain public figures, with no self awareness at all.

Convictable evidence and common-sense evidence are not the same.

And neither of them is found on Fox News.

You might want to try watching a news channel, instead of Fox News. There are many to choose from, CNN, MSNBC, BBC World, Al Jazeera… Or watch all of them, to get a balanced view and average out the bias.

Including an entertainment channel like Fox News in your aggregate, however, does no good at all. And even less so if you only watch an entertainment channel, and no news channels at all.

What “common-sense evidence”? You haven’t presented a single piece.

Come on. At least try to make your argument. You haven’t offered a thing.

If the laptop was able to expose millions of dollars of payments and at least 10 companies with no product to sell, then common sense tells us something is wrong.

Sure, if it had any of those things that would be substantial evidence against him. Does it?

So link to it. From what I’ve seen, there was a laptop owned by Hunter Biden, but it passed through so many hands (including admitted liars like Rudy Giuliani) without verification that whatever’s on it now is hopelessly contaminated. Common sense would indicate that admitted liars like Giuliani and others would be willing to upload slanderous false bullshit on a laptop like this for political purposes.

I think the info you’ve been getting is bad.

The Hunter plea deal is on shaky ground and may be kaput. The judge isn’t sure if the deal covers illegal foreign lobbying charges, whether the gun part of the deal is constitutional, and “expressed frustration that the two sides structured the tax and gun plea deals in a way where she would need to approve the gun deal, but had no powers to approve or reject the tax agreement.”
