Today is my town’s Christmas parade. I’ll be on the square this afternoon watching Santa Claus come in on the fire truck (if it isn’t raining).
Tomorrow I get a new student, or maybe two in my class. That makes two eighth graders, one seventh grader, one fifth grader, and one third grader. Lesson planning isn’t for the faint hearted! (That’s why I’m on here avoiding it currently.)
Just think, Sticky. Only 30 years to go. <g,d,&r>
If you’d quit throwing rocks at Santa you won’t get coal in your shoe.
I got to see the director’s cut of this movie on Thursday at the Rifftrax show. It is even more insane that way. I must own it when they release it on the website.
Up, caffeinated, off today. A chilly tailgate today.
:D:D
Dunno, but I’m sure he’ll take a stab at it.
Actually either one would be okely-dokely with me!
Now when I Santa, I don’t care if it rains, snows or what ------ I’m putting on the suit and I’m not leaving until my knee smells like ass!
Several years ago, I was going to be a Santa for Pittsburgh’s Light Up Night for one of the major law firms. Being in the Wyoming Valley a couple weeks before I decided to get some appropriate presents. I stopped at the one coal breaker and asked if I could buy a couple dozen pieces.
“Whadda yuou want dem for?”
To pass out to lawyers for Christmas.
Walked away with a 25 pound bag for free.
Shhhh, it’s a prison break plot.
And the Abby was good. Although Terri Garr would be good, too
“What knockers!”
“Why thank you, Doctor.”
Housemate decided to wait to decorate the house; tacky tree covered in sparkly stuff now in place.
Feeling like getting takeaway for dindin, but I’m not sure what’s open. I actually appear to have some money for once! Money that isn’t immediately earmarked for bills!
Home from deheathenization and brunch. We had a big crowd for deheathenization and brunch, with lots of commestibles. Also, this was ( well with a 98 percent probability) the last Sunday in our present space. Provided the certificate of occupancy is granted this week, we shall have our first service in the new digs next Sunday. The buildin’ we’re in now will serve as our Parish hall as well as some additional Sunday School/meetin’ rooms. The space we’ve used as church/hall is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge room, and even with takin’ part of it to make three additional rooms, it will still leave enough room for a Parish Hall to seat around two-hunnert and fifty folks, which ain’t too shabby.
Now I feel the need for a nappy poo right after I go check out StickyBun’s video.
But what was the question?
:goose:
What makes us happy?
What goes good with beer?
What do I want for dindin?
What is a good leftover for breakfast?
I’m sure there are a lot more questions that can be answered “PIZZA!”
Discovered a really dumb move I pulled last night. Made a Rice-a-Roni based concoction for dinner, neglected to add seasoning packs. Found them (I used two boxes as the base) on the kitchen counter this morning. Currently reheating leftovers with the seasonings added.
If you announced that on Twitter, would that be considered a San Francisco Tweet?
Time to recline. MWAH!
All the virtual soup,OJ, and Soft Kitty worked as I don’t feel sick anymore. Thanks all! In other news hubby is back from his trip to GA.
The President declared the 26th a Federal Holiday so I will have two days off for Christmas. Yoo Hoo.
Back to irk in the AM. Dinner out tomorrow as my Walmart haul has arrived in Marathon Fl. I shall go to early bird dinner at Niece’s place and pick up my goods from her Mom who was kind enough to bring it to me from my whirl wind trip to GA last month. I don’t ever remember all the stuff I got. I know there are pots and pans, towels and wash rags, clothes hangers, a leather jacket I bought from my sister for $20. Can’t remember the rest. It’ll be like Christmas. Actually the pots and pans are hubby’s Christmas gift.
Have a good week all.
ruble, Santa (and Mrs. Claus) would have shown up in the bucket of the fire truck as usual. I, however, would have stayed home and watched the t.v. broadcast.
The parade was good, as usual. I actually thought of you, ruble. The couple sitting next to me werefrom Pittsburgh and visiting Nashville on vacation. They didn’t want to watch Nashville’s in the rain, so they waited and came for ours.
I’m just sitting down to a bowl of chili that’s been simmering since late morning. Mmmm.
Went to the annual local Christmas Sing-In today. It will be on the radio later on. Saw a couple of friends.
Must go blow the licorice stick soon.
‘Tis a cool Sunday evenin’ here in south Jawja. Thus I shall go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time. Thus endeth the weekend.
Nitey Nite Y’all! See everybody in tomorrow’s shiny, new MMP!
