Privacy. Please observe the following rules:
- Invasion of privacy. Do not post information that is invasive of another person’s privacy. If you feel a post has invaded your privacy, please contact us and we will take such action as we deem appropriate. See Deletion of posts.
- Personal information. When speaking of others who are not public figures, do not use real names and be cautious in your use of details that could enable individuals to be identified. Please remember that postings on this board are visible to anyone with access to the Internet and are retained in a database indefinitely. In addition, the SDMB is open to third-party search engines (“spiders”). We advise against posting personal revelations or other information that may come back to haunt you. - Private contact information. Do not post private contact information about yourself or others. - Private messages. Private messages are subject to the same rules as the SDMB. There is no guarantee of privacy in these messages. You assume the risk that any PM you send may be made public by the recipient.
