The ICE shootings in Minneapolis (1/7/2026)

He may also have never been hit. I’m not willing to accept anything from this administration.

Maybe they did find a bruise. It doesn’t mean it was caused by this incident (how many of those yahoos have fallen while walking on black ice?)

Oh, I don’t trust anything they say either.

People are simply avoiding getting in trouble by outright saying “I don’t care, he’s a Nazi and deserves anything that happens to him”. But I expect they are thinking it.

And giving the ongoing provocations by ICE it’s only a matter of time before people start acting on it in real life, and things really blow up. ICE is just too collectively stupid to see that they are useful idiots being set up as human sacrifices to provide a justification for a crackdown.

Top. Men.

It’s a quick read, but worth it.

It’s the old Mirror Test: if you can fog a mirror, you’re hired!

Thanks. I’m going to share that elsewhere.

No, she wasnt “offered a job”, she was just in stage 5 of 5 for “onboarding” which if you note in her video has at least 4 more steps-Physical, drug test, Medical and Background investigation.

So, she finished the initial steps of Onboarding, enough so that she has an offer to go forward with her application. They cant do the Physical, drug test, Medical and Background investigation parts until you have accepted the initial offer. Those steps get pretty involved and you give up some rights in doing those, so that is why it is done like that. There also will be another interview after those steps, unless she fails.

So her “offer” was to agree to go forward with the rather invasive steps.

I remember when that happened. It was infamous. The air traffic controllers struck for better working conditions. Not in opposition to illegal orders. They didn’t resign, but instead sought collective bargaining. Reagan simply fired them. That was as different as can be.

Do you allow for the possibility that the norms, practices, processes, and procedures with which you’re familiar may have changed, and that current practices – particularly within Homeland Security – may have changed in order to “better align with the policy priorities and directives of President Trump and his administration?”

Americans are overwhelmingly not buying the line that Trump is putting out on this incident. Even folks on the right, who do mostly support ICE in this, aren’t giving strong support.

Also, I found this interesting. A statement from ICE, last updated a year ago, slamming people for inaccurately claiming that ICE performs such actions as conducting raids, door-to-door searches, and roadblocks. They declare that acting in such a way is a violation of federal policy and they reject such accusations.

Fast forward a year later where they’re openly doing exactly what they said they would never do.

There might be another shooting now in Minneapolis.

Very few details on it at the moment.

MSNBC Now has a camera crew and correspondent gal right in the middle of all the Minneapolis chaos going on. This is horrifying bullshit. Still no word on the circumstances of the shooting at all.

Meanwhile, Bondi is trying to play the “You can’t quit, you’re fired” card on the prosecutors who resigned.

The story – what little there is – is sounding a lot like the recent shootings in Portland:

Meidas Touch has a reporter on the periphery.

There seems to be a standoff at the line between protestors and whatever poses for law enforcement/ICE.

They appear to be aiming weapons at the media and protestors.

Reports of law enforcement shooting rubber bullets and propellants.

Makes my blood boil.

Simply appalling.

FOX News reporter Bill Melugin, citing law enforcement sources, says ICE was involved in another shooting. He is told ICE was making contact with a person who then allegedly assaulted an officer. Shots were fired, and the suspect ran. Melugin says the person is believed to be Venezuelan and is stable. They are now in custody.

The Associated Press is reporting, citing sources, the person was shot in the leg after they attacked the federal office with a shovel during an arrest.

So the suspect ran away and was shot while fleeing, but they also attacked the Gestapo with a shovel so it was self-defense?

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the secret police are lying.

And in the leg, you say? Hmm, I wonder where I’ve heard that before…

Sure, they shortened the training for one. But read her tweet. It clearly shows 4 more steps to go. I suppose you can cann it “an offer”- it is an offer to continue with the hiring process.

A press conference is scheduled around 10:15PM Central time, about 18 minutes from now.

As for the job, that she went as far as she did with no apparent vetting says a lot.

The vetting occurs in the next four steps- especially the background check.

Afterwards their is a psych eval and a final interview. According to her, she likely wont even pass the drug test, but I doubt if she will go forward with the next 4 steps as they get very invasive and you have to sign away some rights.

She is a Military Veteran, so that is vetting right there.

Did you read the article (the original Slate article, not Guardian link)? She said she ignored the drug test and physical emails and she was later moved straight to a hired status. They somehow skipped all the steps you’re talking about.

Would they have caught it eventually? Who knows.

Did you read her Tweet where she said she was offered the job?

That article is for subscribers only. Read her tweet. It shows clearly there are four more steps.
