I am glad to see Minneapolis citizens protesting like this. My fear is this will only allow Trump to send more force to the area. National Guard or regular military. Trump admin made this problem but will claim they are suppressing an insurrection in which all citizens can be scooped up and not just immigrants.
Pretty sure this is what the Trump admin wants.
The amazing thing, to me, is how ICE can see how they are so thoroughly reviled by their own countrymen and yet zealously keep doing what they are doing. They have to hide their identities for fear of being noticed as part of ICE.
That makes them nothing more than thugs.
If this is how he wants to start the Second Civil War, then he may as well get on with it. It’s not a war he can win.
Are these regular police or all ICE?
I see “Police” patches on a lot of uniforms but is ICE using those patches or are regular Minneapolis police fighting their citizens alongside ICE?
If so, why are the mayor and governor supporting ICE this way?
As far as I can tell, the city and state police are trying to keep the protestors away from the Gestapo.

I 100% get what they are on about but I think there is more here than the article suggests (The Onion or not).
Right now Trump admin is targeting immigrants. Unrest in Minneapolis will open the door for Trump admin to go after ANY US citizens.
But we have to protest. I can’t imagine not opposing this crap.
They sent a baby to the hospital tonight. We’re already there.

I think about this every time some fool espouses the "heroism of the brave ‘patriots’, and pretend like they don’t understand why city leaders and citizens are opposed to it.

Apparently the abandoned vehicle captured by the freedom fighters had ICE’s entire “battle plan” for Minneapolis inside it, including radio frequencies, contact numbers, and hotel room assignments.
I suspect they are not hiring the smartest people and training is crap. Oversight, also crap.
What they see is a bunch of terrorists who hate them and America. The are cheered on by their family and friends. Their leaders praise them and tell them they can do no wrong. They got the job because they aren’t the type to be thoughtful or nuanced.
And proud of it.
I think that’s quite the understatement. Based on the evidence, they’re hiring bigoted Trumpist morons who receive virtually no training and have no accountability. I suspect the Gestapo probably had better training and discipline, although equally no accountability.
