Holy crap, 26th and Nicollet is very close to here. Nicollet Street, for those who don’t know, is also called “Eat Street” because of the proliferation of restaurants which include many, many ethnic restaurants and grocery outlets. My go-to Asian grocery is right where the shooting happened.

We’re at the point now where ICE policy is to ignore the constitution, the Supreme Court is doing nothing, the leaders in Congress are cowards and armed men can now go door to door to remove people that you’re hiding in the attic.

One of their own to get hurt. I’ve said it before, I think one of the turning points of this will be a republican politician and/or their family getting dragged out of their car and detained for days or being murdered on the street.
At some point it’s going to happen. So far they detained an off duty cop, but that didn’t seem to make a difference.
When it comes to republican policies, the whole ‘rules for thee’ thing generally applies, but you can’t name drop your way out of an ICE arrest or buy your wife back into existence after they kill her.
Short of that, if ICE occupies a red enough city, that might start changing things.
Every day I wake up and I grab my phone and I wonder “what new horror has transpired since I went to bed” and sometimes I wonder if it’ll only be embarrassing or if it’ll be sinister too.
This country is shit. And it’s fucked. And there’s no one that’s going to stop it because the democratic party is a joke and Americans don’t know how to fight back against their own government.

The nazis are basically just… occupying the street? I don’t get it, why aren’t they just moving along toward the next “illegals” they need to arrest? (I mean, I do get it: they are an occupying brownshirt force.)
I’m watching a guy live streaming the protests. People around ICE lines screaming at them stuff like “shame on you” and “are you proud of yourselves” and “do you think you’re the good guys?” and I think that’s pretty ballsy given that anyone can be murdered at any time and a pretty good tact. Even though the people are keeping their distance and not being threatening or violent at all, ICE is of course firing tear gas and pepper balls right at them.
Minneapolis people have some fight in them I think. I’d be curious how different regions would respond. I think if they did this shit in most of California people wouldn’t do shit. If they did it in Philly people would attack ICE.
I think pretty soon there’s going to be a massacre. Some armed coward is going to get spooked by a crowd and he’s going to start firing into the crowd, and his fellow brownshirts are going to join in and we’re going to have a crowd of 30 or 40 dead people.
And we’ll have another 50 wounded people that may die because ICE won’t let any medics go near them.
