Key points

Allowing the federal government to efficiently investigate fraud will save Minnesota taxpayers’ money and ensure that Minnesota’s welfare funds are being used to help those in need, not enrich fraudsters.
Second, repeal the sanctuary policies that have led to so much crime and violence in your state. Removing criminal illegal aliens from Minnesota neighborhoods will save lives, and state and local officials should support this goal. All detention facilities in your state should cooperate fully with ICE, honor immigration detainers, and permit ICE to interview detainees in custody to determine immigration status. I urge you to reach an agreement with ICE that allows them to remove illegal aliens in custody of Minnesota’s prisons and jails and avoids pushing these interactions into your streets.
Third, allow the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice to access voter rolls to confirm that Minnesota’s voter registration practices comply with federal law as authorized by the Civil Rights Act of 1960. Fulfilling this common-sense request will better guarantee free and fair elections and boost confidence in the rule of law.

In other words, surrender entirely; and ICE will continue to stay there harassing, arresting, and shooting residents, citizens included.
Where’s the gain? This isn’t even carrot or stick, it’s all stick, whatever you do. If they’re going to shoot you anyway, why make it easy for them?
And, we all know that even if they did that, ICE isn’t going to leave. The Trump administration isn’t exactly known for keeping their end of a deal.
I think Walz should offer to hand all that over if Bondi releases the full, unredacted, five million page Epstein file, by end of day tomorrow.
I mean, don’t actually say that with lives on the line, but I wonder what would happen. If Bondi actually took them up on it, we get the files and Walz can hand over all the requested files…eventually, it’ll take several months to redact everything.
Honest question, does anyone think this might finally be enough to stop the ICE terror campaign? Two highly documented and egregious crimes happening so close together feels like the sort of thing that gets looked back on as an inflection point.
I’d sure like it to be, but it’s real hard to kindle any sort of optimism these days.

Well, it was nice having some hope in my life for the handful of seconds it took to type the question 
I have hopes it can be the beginning of the end. But Trump support is still around 41%, so at best the beginning of the end.
Trump aims at a regime change and ICE is a means to it. As long as the goal isn’t reached, the means will not be suspended.
Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.
I mean, I think they’ll get bored and leave MN at some point in the near future, but then they’re on to the next place.
I’ve mentioned that I think a turning point might be when a republican politician or their family get killed or disappeared. I think that maybe a few ICE fatalities due to friendly fire might get them to at least slow down a little. My fear is that this isn’t going to come to a head until one of these cities turns into a full on riot that leaves a large number of people dead and buildings burned down. Or maybe people up on roofs picking off ICE agents.
IOW, I’m thinking ICE and/or the people that control ICE are going to have to end up as victims before they see a problem with any of this.

You keep saying this. I have seen you say this time and time again on here for a while now, but I can think of a couple ways it could happen and I don’t see how you can deny that it couldn’t.
Scenario.
Let’s say that many more US citizens are killed and it’s on camera so that it’s clear they were straight up murdered kind of like Renee Good and Alex Pretti…
Then let’s say the people finally get sick of it and they rise up and maybe a small handful actually fight back with violence, I’m talking gun violence possibly, where ice agents are killed, unfortunately----because I don’t believe that’s the way----but let’s just say it happens.
Donald Trump then declares the whole state as being insurrectionist and sends in the national guard or the Navy or something like that, then let’s say attacks and fights ramp up even more to the point where he declares martial law.
Really, it doesn’t matter what point we get to it, the main point is that martial law is now declared. Let’s say martial law is declared for some reason, and there can be a ton of them, but martial law is declared.
What if this is around election day? Martial law is declared when it’s election day. People going out to try to go? They’re met with soldiers. “Sorry ma’am/sir, please return to your home, a curfew is in effect”

It seems plausible to me. You ramp up things until you declare martial law right around election time, and then you impose a curfew and nobody is allowed to leave their house anywhere in the US. It’s just that easy. And that’s just one way I can think of it happening. I think maybe you are putting too much faith in the system here when the system can be shut down.
I could be wrong, of course.
Even if it’s not that extreme, people go out to vote on election Day and what’s to say that Trump’s thugs of proud boys and such don’t go on a wide scale intimidation free? I’m talking about blocking election boxes and stuff like that.
Oh, that’s against the law? It’s okay, they’re allowed to do anything they want because they’ll just get pardoned.

No, because a central dogma of the Trump administration is that Trump can do no wrong, and therefore, when ICE agents shoot and kill someone, that person must have done something to provoke it. They’ll continue to spin that exact same line while, possibly, maybe, trying to rein back some of the worst of the thugs, but without ever admitting any guilt.
However this currently seems unlikely given their current recruitment practices explicitly intended to appeal to lawless far-right thugs.
Correct, the guardrails are falling. If they can make claims that the 1A and 4A and 2A are optional when it comes to imposing the admin’s will, no way in hell “election day” is somehow untouchable.
Scenario 2:
There is enough data collected by DOGE/Musk to pinpoint voting locations in areas where the elections for Representatives are going to be close.
As has been pointed out, there is not enough manpower to shut down all the voting locations they might wish. However, there are central locations where ballots are collected (I think perhaps even in states with mail in voting)
If certain vote counting centers in cities/ Democrat heave areas were targeted, ICE could determine that there might be illegal immigrants in there (probably bussed in), and raid the vote counting facilities, or the facilties where vote counting machines were based. Seize ballots (might have illegals hiding in the boxes) and machines.
Illegal? Sure. Go to court. They just ignore the court orders anyway and destroy the machines and ballots.
By 2028, there will be “elections” of a sort. Overseen by ICE to prevent “disturbances”.
ETA: Perhaps combine this with ICE going to certain Democrat heavy polling locations and raiding them for “illegals”. Cause a riot. Make sure that vote is suppressed.
