Well, bummer - my broth was too brothy. I thought it would thicken more. So it was like eating soup with smashed N.O.T. on top - tasty, but messy. I have some leftover for the freezer - when I thaw it, I’ll make a roux and mix it in with the broth and reduce it before adding it back to the meat/veggie mix.
Gonna turn off the machine now and assume the knit position. And the weekend winds down…
We’ve finished up our candy. Dad made fudge (without nuts at my request) and chocolate chips cookies (with peanuts :mad: ). Mom and I made coconut clusters, buckeyes, and rocks and we’re waiting for the rocks and buckeyes to harden so she can make up a couple of gift plates.
I’m burning some DVDs for my last present since the one I bought hasn’t arrived yet. It’s chilly and raining over here and I keep making Noah’s Ark jokes that no one else gets.
Howdy Y’all! The church house is decorated. Well, mostly decorated. There’s stuff we couldn’t do until after a funeral on Tuesday afternoon. The Creche will need to be set up and some stuff around the Altar needs to be done. It won’t take long and those that know what they’re doin’ can handle it all.
