The internet clearly needs a warning label for morons

One of OtakuLoki’s runners up for moron of the week made me think about a really simple idea that many people clearly have trouble grasping:

If You’re Going To Do Something Illegal, Don’t Confess To It By Posting On The Internet!

The internet needs a warning label saying that. Probably in huge blinking red text.

I just don’t understand why so many people have so much trouble with that concept. It seems totally bleeding obvious to me. The girls mentioned in the thread did something that they had to know was illegal. Then they posted a video of themselves doing it, in a forum whose purpose is to let anyone look at what you post. That’s on the same level of stupidity as using a hair dryer while submerged, or holding up a bank using a holdup note written on the back of your deposit slip, in my opinion. How could they possibly not know that someone would be upset by their video, and would report them to the authorities? And, of course, the video provides the cops with all the evidence they need to prove these girls did this.

Oh, but where would the fun be in that?
